Jordan doesn’t make this list?!?!?!?! And what about Chapu!!!???

Shawn Marion

should be on this list. I know he played some PF too but he’s a small forward.

Definitely over Andre Iguoldala

Iggy should reach those types of accolades maybe if he keeps getting a touch better in 5 more years over the years previous, but most definitely hasn’t yet….

WTF was that…..

i'm confused

aren’t a few of these guys primarily SGs?

Yeeaah

Iggy- Joe Johnson and eeerr T-Mac I’m sure usually played SG unless someone was out then he could play point forward. But theres not really much competition at that spot I always thought.

T Mac

Has made the all nba teams as a guard in 00-01,02-03,06-07, and 07-08 and as a forward in 01-02,03-04,04-05. So I guess was going back and forth a little bit until 06.

Positions for the All Star team are deemed by the player's team (hence Duncan always at Forward)

KD was just going by assigning players to his definitions of each position.

My post wasn't about all star teams

It was All NBA teams. I figured that was more official which is why I used that.

Hmmm

If he defined the position I wouldn’t say hes far from being the best. I’d take him even over Pierce really.

T-Mac could be no.1 on this list if he wasn’t injured all the time really. Its crazy how many injuries the Rockets get themselves. But pulling for T-Mac this year he was working with Tim Grover I believe so he may come out guns blazing.

by Camry on Sep 29, 2009 6:09 PM CDT reply actions

Pip is far from being the best small forward of all time, but he helped define the position.

seems like he might be contradicting himself.

and Jamaal Mashburn????
Tayshaun Prince, Ron Artest, Gerald Wallace and Shawn Marion all belong on this list before Mashburn.

by darksmokepuncher on Sep 29, 2009 6:12 PM CDT reply actions

I didn’t even notice Mashburn there. He didn’t even play half of the decade I don’t think. The last game I saw him playing he hit a game winner for the Hornets I think in 04 then got injured.

The saddest thing about this picture is I don’t remember his name.

This actually raises a few questions. Why is he doing a dance while in the background it looks like guys are actually playing.

by Camry on Sep 29, 2009 7:23 PM CDT up reply actions

Antoine Walker who was technically a PF. He just hit a 3 which is why he’s dancin like a fool. He always did these gay lil dances after launchin one of his many 3s.

Pippen is a top5 SF of all time but not the best. Oscar Robertson.

Also T-Mac is a SG as is Joe Johnson. Jamal Mashburn was a damn good player but he did most of his damage in the late 90s…was pretty injured in the 00s.

good call!

Good call

Heck I’d put Tayshawn Prince anyday over 9 and 10 just because he had the defining block of the last 10 years (on reggie miller) and was the principal piece of the 7 year Piston run….but I don’t even think if I took the time I’d put Prince there.

And TMAC’s definitely #2 of the last 10 years, even after the last 1.5 year slide….he was in the Kobe realm for far too long…and while his teams never won a playoff series, it rarely was because of TMAC who was mostly unbelievable in the playoffs (I know he gets flack for the 4th quarters, but his teams would not have had a chance without what he did before those 4th quarters)…

Shawn Marion was listed #4 for top 10 power forwards of the decade

for all those complaining about his exclusion. Not bad. Butler is the most obvious omission in my eyes, especially when you consider Dwyer named Jamison the #6 power forward of the decade.
