He should make them pay him in

the big promotional checks, like in Happy Gilmore.

Every two weeks, he should walk out of the Front Office carrying a check as big as he is. The humor would be totally worth his contract.

Nothing wrong with signing the 13th man.

To the Q.O. Will there be outrage when he bolts for another team next Summer? I doubt it, but he can provide spot minutes when the other big white guy is in foul trouble this season.

Why isn't your friendly Bulls Blogger friendly?

I don't think he's ever bolted anywhere

Things could be worse. We could have kept Boylan.

I not so sure he will play

We also have Taj. And he’s faster… That being said, I don’t understand why we sign Gray

by bull83 on Sep 23, 2009 7:51 AM CDT up reply actions

We signed him for a few reasons.

He is a big body in practice. He is cheap. The NBA requires a minimum of 13 players on the roster.

Right

If nothing else he’s big and he has 6 fouls to use.

David Lee's Qualifying Offer is 2.6 mil

The economics of the game are all out of whack and the Bulls were content this offseason to pretend like they had to pay poor players what they could have payed good players. I’d rather have David Lee than PargayGrargo. The Bulls played it safe this summer. And by safe I mean they barely looked beyond the Berto Center for talent.

by JockstrapNoah on Sep 22, 2009 11:06 PM CDT reply actions

David Lee would not have been in a Bulls uniform for 2.6 million dollars, so that's not really an argument.

Gray is worthless trash, but at least there is no pretense of him being an actual rotation player. Vinny has a hard-on for small ball, and Noah and Miller are just so, so much better than Gray. I’m pissed off at the presence of Hunter and Jannero Pargo, not Gray.

The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.

If we had foregone Hunter, Pargo and Taj...u think David Lee would have work?

Vinny replacement

Paxson is planning to use Gray to replace Vinny and the big big coach during the mid-season. Aaron Gray is likable and looks good on the bench.

He is also taller than Vinny.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
