He played an instrumental role in the Bulls' only playoff series victory since MJ left town, a 2007 first-round sweep of the Heat. That doesn't matter to those who considered his four-year, $60 million signing the piece that was supposed to provide a title. Wallace defied Scott Skiles with a forbidden headband and loafed enough to bring out the United Center boo-birds consistently. His February 2008 trade to Cleveland ended it all.

Wallace is currently a solid second in the poll
Milton Bradley is the runaway leader, of course. And I thought Wallace was a locker room cancer.

Not to delve into other sports (a sin here, no doubt)
at first I thought Wallace should be a runaway winner, considering that at least people knew Bradley was a jerk beforehand, whereas Wallace was ironically a cancer considering he was brought in as a ‘character’ guy (Bulls love that, yet suck at evaluating it?)
But my radio idol Terry Boers brought up the solid point on WSCR yesterday that Bradley helped ruin a great team, whereas that Bulls group likely wasn’t going anywhere with or without Wallace.

Yeah, Bradley is an asshole responsible for a Cubs team collapse that....
Had Alfonso Soriano playing on an injured knee since April
Lost Aramis Ramirez for most of the season to a shoulder injury
Got no production out of Mike Fontenot
Got no production from Geovany Soto after winning the ROY
Rarely gave a solid starting rotation run support
Awul bullpen.
The Cubs were already an elite team before the Bradley signing. The Bulls were supposed to become elite with Ben Wallace.
The 2009 White Sox....like a 40 degree day.

Hasn't every player that's played with Bradley said he's a great teammate?
So if a guy’s not nice to the media, he ruins a team, apparently. Soto, Fontenot and Soriano did not suck ass because of Bradley.

players always say players are great teammates
though there were a few this week who were implying Bradley was less than great.

and sheesh
I won’t say the Cubs media weren’t out to get him, nor that even his biggest ‘distraction-causing’ behavior was a major effect on the on-field performance of the team, but it’s my amateur diagnosis that Bradley has way more mental and emotional instability than your suggestion that he’s fine except in dealing with the media. Come on.

I don't disagree with that last statement.
I don’t think that makes him a bad teammate by necessity, though.
