I laughed as soon as I saw this post

do they type themselves?
I pretty much always assumed that there was a “pro” typer (like a court reporter or something) employed by espn or whoever, and that that person would usually read off a comment and the athlete would respond verbally, and the typer would type out the response….It would explain when sometimes if the athlete laughed or something it would come up written as (laughs) instead of lol or haha….

I actually thought his answers were pretty good
and the questions were surprisingly not lobs. Especially the one about Memphis — way to sidestep that one Derrick!
