Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

Rose knows that he will have to take a bigger role in the offense now that Gordon is gone. He wants to fill Gordon's role as being the team's go-to scorer late in the fourth quarter.

"I really don't know right now, but I hope I am," he said, when asked about taking big shots late for the Bulls. "I missed a lot of 'em last season, but I hope I learn from 'em."

The statements right before that quote:
In the meantime, he’s focused on making the Bulls better, although he did acknowledge that the absence of Ben Gordon will be a tough hurdle to get over at first.

“I guess they’re looking into the future,” he said. “Ben is a great player, one of the best scorers I’ve ever played with, a great guy. He had to make a business move going to Detroit.”

“I’m gonna miss him a lot,” he said a few moments later. “He took a lot of pressure off me last year, but we’ll have to see this year.”

We're all going to miss Ben next year

But… but They’re still going to be fun to watch! I can’t wait for the season… I’m already regretting having to dump my tickets!

“I couldn’t even remember the whole [NCAA] championship game, so I know I couldn’t remember that night, but I just got passed it,” he said.

"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

Well,

At least there was something in college that Rose passed on his own.

HI-O!

It’s up to D Rose. Cause we all know Deng is lights out between the 1st and 3rd quarters. 4th quarter….he becomes invisible.

I like how highly he spoke of Gordon. That dude will be missed. Nice that he’s saying he’ll be the leader, too, ’cause he has to be.

What else is he going say about Gordon?

It’s not like he’s going to bad mouth him.

"I guess I can’t do anything if you’re just irrational, but to point it out and move on."

huh

He’s a grown man, if he didn’t want to speak well of Gordon, he didn’t have to.

left shark - "Kirk needs to go and join Ben Gordon and L Deng somewhere else trade Deng and Hinrich they no good"

I believe the official talking points he was issued say "Ben was the best 4th guard I've ever played with"

“But I think Jannero Pargo is really going to make the game easier for me and the rest of the team.”

It's not in his personality to do so

There’s no reason to bad mouth Ben

It wouldn't have been hard to just follow company line.

The official word going out from the org is that the same guys who gave us an exciting playoff round and run at the end of the season will be there next year…conveniently erasing BG’s exit as meaningful at all. All Rose had to do is say similar and go with the company line. Instead he said his own thing about BG.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

He's in trouble now

He must have feel a sleep during the presentation

This is Rose team now and if Deng gets healthy and Salmons still preforms the way he did last season the bulls are still a force to be dealt with
