Did you see the nice article Reinsdorf wrote?
The real "problem with the NBA" is that it is leaving the Bulls standing at the station!
"Last week's big-man trade of Tyson Chandler for Emeka Okafor might have seemed random when it came to the players involved.
But the deal was built around salaries.
Chandler has two more years and $24.6 million left on the contract he originally signed with the Bulls in 2005.
Okafor has five years and $62.7 million remaining, which means Charlotte shaved nearly $40 million in future salary commitments by making the deal with New Orleans.
The Hornets, meanwhile, trimmed a few million off next year's luxury-tax bill, since Okafor will make less this season. So each side saved money in some way.

It sounds like Reinsdorf fed this to the reporter
to try to counter all the negative reaction regarding the Bulls’ lack of effort to build a competitive team.
Note the dig at BG.
always a great contribution.

disagree.
If anything, KC is the Reinsdorf puppet, not McGraw. Also, McGraw is a Gordon guy. It wasn’t really a “dig”. He was just saying that the Pistons only outbid themselves for Gordon because there was no other real competition…which is a classic mistake.
left shark - "Kirk needs to go and join Ben Gordon and L Deng somewhere else trade Deng and Hinrich they no good"
I'm sure you recall that post that illustrated that we had a worse record than
75% of the teams in the league this decade.
The best we can do is criticize other teams?
always a great contribution.

That says a lot right there...
Dorf is riding out the last money left to him by the Jordan legacy. We are some of the most loyal fans in the NBA which is a big reason why ****Dorf is still making money on the team. I do hope, however, that he realizes that loyalty will run out eventually unless he really attempts to build a team that is competing for a title. I am not sure he cares.

The loyalty was revived by the luck ping pong ball
and now they’ll ride Rose!
always a great contribution.

Rose by himself will not equal a contender
I think they did get lucky but now must add talent to be a contender. I have stuck through thick and thin with the Bulls but if the Org continues to cash in and not improve within the next 3 years I will have to consider not spending any money on merchandise or tickets.
The Dude Abides
I don't really spend money on them anymore already
I used to go to at least 3 or 4 games a year, now it’s down to 1. I used to always pick up the authentic jerseys/shorts or a hat or something. This past year I just bought a replica Rose jersey.
If this team makes some sort of major signing or move in the next year, I may reconsider my current stance. But I like watching Neil and Stacy do the games on TV…

Obviously, it will take a lot of people like you
for them to change. But you can bet that they will leverage having one all-star to the hilt.
always a great contribution.
