If the Bulls win like 48 games or so, Rose will definitely be getting some consideration and third place votes.

Assuming he puts up the numbers we're all expecing him to

I think 48+ wins and a line like:

21 ppg 8 apg 4 rpg 1.5 spg and 0.75 bpg while shooting over 45% from the field would garner some MVP votes.

I don’t necessarily think those numbers are out of the question either. Maybe the steal/block numbers are due to a little wishful thinking on my part, but the rest definitely seems achievable to me.

Getting a couple of votes doesn't mean much, though it's nice that some writers think that highly of him.

Though an actual contender for dark horse 3rd place finisher would be Brandon Roy.
