Around SBN: The Gift Of The 2003 Tigers

From the NY Times Thursday:

"I want to be in Miami, and I hope everything works out that way," Wade said Thursday. "I want to be one of those players that stays with one franchise for his entire career."

"Next year will be a big year for myself and for the team, but the plan has always been to stay with the Heat, and that’s still the plan," he said. "I think everything will work out."

"Triple B's Bulls Bears... Blackhawks (i guess)"

of course

he’ll say that.

remember when Gordon said that he wants to stay with the Bulls?

Money wins over Loyalty these days.

You sorta have to earn loyalty.

Miami can probably make it worth while to Wade. That can’t be said for how other teams deal with their players. The market dictates a lot of what happens though sometimes you can have abnormalities like Deng signing for 70mil+ without any other team seriously fighting for him.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

"money wins over loyalty these days"

…and if that’s true, then he would STILL be in Miami…as they can offer him more money than anyone else.

Problem is though the Heat can offer more money to Wade than anybody…the only way the Bulls have a chance is if Wade is willing to take a little less money to come home. Maybe his mom will relapse and he’ll want to be closer to her.

Ouch... that's harsh!

How about, maybe if he was a good Dad he would want to see his kids more often? That would be the less brutal way to go about it.

Glad he's staying in Miami

Wade is an accident waiting to happen. Let Miami sign him to his last big-time contract. He’ll limp his way during most of it. Wade’s just about done and he has no great supporting cast. The Bulls are the team of the future and he knows it. There isn’t a top player who won’t covet a place on this Bulls team. The Celtics series sold the Bulls to every top player in the League.
Nobody is afraid of a player coming in and overshadowing Rose. It’s what kind of player and his shelf life.

Um no, I really don’t think top players are salivating to join the Bulls. It’s about who will offer the most cash while still having a halfway decent playoff caliber team. I don’t think LeBron and Wade were watching the playoff series with the Celtics and thinking “oh, man, I just gotta play on that team no matter what”.

Yer comment is sour grapes, Wade appears totally healthy and has elevated himself into a top 5 player…he’s what 27? 28? and has 5 strong prime years left.

I am so sick

of all this talk about wade. Name one team that had one franchise player without alot of good players around them who won,. Kobe who is supposed to have taken over mj cried like a girl for two years threatening a trade until he got pau gasol. even then without odom, pau, fisher, he would still be crying. i saw every game that the heat played in the championship year and i give it to you that wade was the man but that team was pretty good to.

wade is going to want alot of money, and getting him a group of really good players is not that easy with the salary cap going down. besides look at the detroit piston team that won it( i hate that team by the way) they did it without a wade but rather five good players. mj had pippen, harper, etc
.
in todays era with all the players demanding so much money for what alot of players averaged in the 90s with almost half the salary, i am just sick of it. did you know that tmack made 23 mil last year or so? are you kidding me. and has this guy ever gone to the finals. all i am saying is our core is great. d rose is going to be awesome, our young guys are going to make some noise. the problem with chicago is that once they get a great player they trade him(brand). hopefully this will not happen with us anymore.

it took mj six years but he was a bull for six years. what bulls player has been around that long as of yet since jordan left?

i have had season tickets for twn years and i would rather not pay these ego crazy girls so much money. give the fans a break who support these clowns and their egos.

i started watchiing the bulls with my dad when i was seven years old and have watched alot of them. i just dont feel that any player is about the game anymore but rather the money. its sad when we pay these players so much money and they give the teams ultimatums. who would not give their right testicle to be aaon gray and get paid one mill to sit the bench. most people dont make that in their lifetime.

d wade can stay in miami i want nothing more.

Nobody wants to hear about the “core”. Remember the last “core”…how did that work?
