Here is a link to the new additions to the United Center this year. I called in to select my seats for my 11 game plan* and noticed a new addition to the seating chart in sections 312 and 329.
Apparently, they cut out rows 4-7 in sections 312 and 329 and have installed a bar area that has a view of the game. I, of course, took this as an opportunity to get my seats in row 1 of section 329. Kind of like the idea of a bar within 3 rows of my seats. Perhaps Patrick Kane requested these bars be installed for his family members and friends?
*BTW, if you are an 11 game plan holder or future buyer, call the Bulls now instead of mailing in your form. Many of the good seats are already gone for the weeknight package (which is awesome, BTW compared to the other 2 crappy plans)
According to the Bulls, the 300 level will be a "clients will enjoy doing business". Sounds kind of inappropriate to me. But seriously, can you see a top executive saying this:
"Well, I think tonight I'm going to seal the deal on the Anderson account. I'm taking him to the Bulls/OKC Thunder game. We're sitting in section 302 row 16. I was going to sit courtside but I think he'd prefer the Madhouse on Madison"
They are installing other amenities, including concessions in the rear of the 300 level (always thought that was a "black hole" and kind of creepy anyway.
Here are other changes according to the Bulls:
the addition of flat screen televisions; a new lighting system featuring photography and animation on the concourse walls; bright illumination in the seating aisles; floor-to-ceiling windows for spectacular views of Chicago’s skyline; bright graphics and signs highlighting “The Madhouse on Madison;” and much more.
