UM, NO.

Durant will be awesome and will win numerous scoring titles. But I don’t see him as being a franchise type of player. Durant is a scoring machine though.

his game is actually very well rounded

he is still learning all the different aspects of the game but he has the body of a tayshaun prince but with about 100 times more athleticism which makes you wonder what his limts are. plus he alrready has a ridiculous offensive game so really i wonder if he could be more of a complete package than lebron one day

I think the difference is in their physical build.

Lebron came out of high school built like a veteran NFL TE. (I still think his Mom lost his birth certificate and held him out of kindergarten until he was about 8 yrs old…) Durant is sooo damn scrawny, I doubt he’ll be able to add the muscle and dominate certain aspects of matchups the way Lebron can. Buuuut, for Portland’s sake I sure hope Durant becomes legendary ;)

I see no reason why Durant cannot be on the same tier as Lebron.

He has to provide consistent defense and bulk up a bit, but it isn’t absurd to mention him as potentially being alongside Lebron, Paul and Wade. I would guess he is unlikely to develop the type of body and game that benefits from the NBAs biases and is more likely to end up in the Roy-Williams-Howard-Bosh-Gasol group; but I feel that NBA fans would do well to rebel against the smoke fired out of the media’s giant ass.

it's amazing

what kind of stories people come up with in the offseason

left shark - "Kirk needs to go and join Ben Gordon and L Deng somewhere else trade Deng and Hinrich they no good"

I really dont think its that far off, Durant has 2 inches on Bron, A much better shooting stroke, and is still 2 years younger than Bron.

I see Durant becoming the arguably second best wing in the league in 2 years.

His lack of size is an issue. Durant will be a top 5 wing in the next couple years once his D becomes average. He is a great player but I just don’t think he’ll ever be on a DWade/Kobe/LBJ level…just a little below that.
