Thank You Ben Gordon

Thank you ben gordon for

Star-divide

Thank you Ben Gordon. Thank you of all the years you wore a Bull uniform and performed so admirably. Thank you for all your hustle and tough defense you gave the opposing team. A player of your caliber will be hard to replace. Thank you for coming up hard in the playoffs including your 1-13 finale with the bulls in the last playoff run. Thank you  Ben Gordon for all the great .500 years or near .500 years you helped the Bulls achieve in your tenure with the Bulls. You were a great team player that passed the ball around all the time to your teammates. Thank you Ben Gordon for all the great shots you took when other players were open for easier shots. I think the fans and teammates in Detroit have alot to look forward to in the upcoming year. Your production has made all Chicago bull fans forget about losing Jamal Crawford a few years ago. You Mr Ben Gordon are one of the greatest Bulls draft pick in a decade. We will miss your selfish play and self centered attitude in our daily line up. I just want to thank you Ben Gordon..for signing a free agent contract out of town.

I'm very disappointed

angryandy seems to be a little more coherent this time around. I want the old angryandy back!!!

by Rose Colored Goggles on Jul 4, 2009 4:34 PM CDT up reply actions

No mention of Jalene Rose?

Some of those shots Ben took were good…. I still remember being in Madison Square Garden on MLK Day in 2004 and watching Bens game-winner. Ben was a maniac sometimes (the Portland game where he dribbled off his foot with 2 seconds left) but he will be missed. The real reason for not being able to sign him was the Wallace aquisition that whole month we had the worst GMing I could think back to.

Very funny!!!

Sarcasm at its best! Thank you angry Andy! Stay angry, you’re at your best when you do!

If anything Ben’s numbers will improve since he’ll be able to come off the bench and simply worry about scoring. I don’t see him sucking next year. I just wish he would have at least left the division.

by C Smoove on Jul 5, 2009 8:55 AM CDT reply actions

Uncalled for

While I agree that Gordon wasn’t a perfect player and didn’t always pick the best shots, he always worked hard to overcome his shortcomings and remained professional throughout his time with the Bulls. He was constantly being jerked in and out of the starting lineup and was thoroughly disrespected by the front office, yet he rarely, if ever, went to the media to vent.

The Bulls and Ben separating may be best for both parties, but there is no need to patronize and minimize Gordon’s contribution to the team over the past 5 years.

by onlythebulls on Jul 5, 2009 5:46 PM CDT reply actions

Let him make insulting remarks about fellow players in Detroit and see how long he will last there

He’s gone to the right place. They will hang him there when he starts to grumble.

by SlamDunk on Jul 6, 2009 4:35 PM CDT up reply actions

Right

Just like how the Detroit fans turned on Sheed when he decided not to show up to half the games and to throw temper tantrums on the court in the Eastern Conference Finals? Or how they turned on Rip when he cried about being benched for AI? Or what about when they decided to turn on Dumars when he drafted Darko instead of Mello? Detroit fans are sooo critical.

Get real.

Winning a championship tends to make things alright for a while

I think the Billups trade alienated plenty of Pistons fans, not to mention the hiring of Michael Curry.

The Chicago Bulls.....the more profitable Los Angeles Clippers.

Define patronize

I don’t think it means what you think it means …
