Who are the NBA's most overrated players?
Interesting because it includes so many would-be/could-be Bulls including Boozer, Bosh (!?!), Camby, Birdman (for Tyrus compare), CP3 (for DRose compare) and our own Brad Miller, described as "tough as the Pillsbury Dough Boy."
Don't agree with them all but good pot-stirring.

Well, I actually agree on some level with all the players on this list except one
and that would be Dirk Nowitzki in the “dishonorable mention” category. I’ve long thought that Garnett and Bosh were overrated (actually, very similar players except Garnett plays way better defense and is less overrated) and I have to agree that, while amazing at times, CP3 is slightly overrated by a lot of people. Sure, he fills up the stat sheet but I don’t see him ever winning a championship as the best player on a team.
Then again, according to this guy, the only non-overrated players in the league would be Wade, Kobe, LeBron, Howard and Tim Duncan.
Oh. And Ben Gordon.

Doesn’t deserve to sniff this list $800k salary and going forward $4M salary, as Charley mentions he’s an at times game changer…he’s not making near enough money to sniff this list, he’s popular, he sells tickets, he plays hard. If he were making double that sure….
His least appreciated list was almost equally as bad listing expensive Biedrins, etc….

he’s only making like 5 mil a year going forward, and i think that’s with incentives. he’s being paid for exactly what he is…

Caling out Brad Miller, really? To be overrated someone has to think you’re more than good, obviously his contract is inflated but then why not call out j oneal or tmac. (2 of the 3 highest paid players in the nba next year.) instead of putting them on the dishonorable mention list. Nobody expects birdman to put up double-doubles, that’s not what he’s there for. Camby has averaged over 10 boards a game for the last 6 straight seasons, who else has done that? i want to know who this guy wants to run his offense if chris paul is overrated. I agree with arenas and i think we can all agree that garnett can eat shit. but everyone else on this list is pointless.

I mean he is a role player on a team that lacks adequate big men….how can you be over rated if you are a role player on a team that is lacking in your position to begin with…? Chris Paul was another one i disagreed with, so the guy has some weaknesses, im sure hes still only human, and in what his 4th nba season?

I just think he’s overrated by the stat-heads like Hollinger on ESPN when they compare him to Magic Johnson and what-not. He’s still the best PG in the league (although you could make a case for D-Will or Chauncey Billups I suppose).

I think the
thing with Miller might refer to his time with the Kings as well, I think it might be a collective body of work. And maybe the 12mil salary factors in too. And I don’t know how much you can call Miller a “role player” he is the Bulls center, he isn’t the “rebound” guy or the “inside” man, hes a center and he often plays with Noah sliding into the 4 spot. Either way, I think Miller is overrated because I don’t like him, there I said it. He’s slow, he chucks 3s, he has a horrible pump fake and drive move, eww. I think this guy hates steve nash too, so it only makes sense that he would single out chris paul, I bet if Phx had won a championship, this list would look different.

I actually agree with every player on the list….besides Andersen and Miller. Andersen is overrated but Rosen calls a guy like Biedrins(who is the exact same player as Birdman) underrated. Also Miller is such a bit player, what is the point of even pickin on him?
Do agree with Boozer, Bosh and Arenas and the like. Also I like how he exposed Paul who is great but people act like he’s flawless. Dude can’t defend anyone and Denver showed if you double him, you can totally nullify him.

Beidrins is a solid center, and is especially good on the offensive end, hes got post moves, a nice midrange jumper…hes extremely talented but is playing for a coach that likes to throw 5 guards out there and run run run… On the other hand birdman is a hustle “defense” type player whos job is to do the little things. His offensive game is pretty non existant except for dunks and a couple of wideopen 10 foot shots….

I like Charlie Rosen’s analysis, and him shitting on guys like Boozer and Bosh is warranted. But if he thinks undrafted lunch pail guys like Brad Miller and Birdman are over rated, he can go fuck himself…ain’t like he ever came up through D League or worked his way to an All Star game. And saying Miller ain’t “tough,” well let’s just say he’s more often labeled dirty than soft, and he withstood an ass whoopin’ that Shaq was intent on giving him. He is what he is: a decent rebounder, hard worker, fundamentals guy. He from freakin’ Indiana, man. The dood know hoops. And Birdman doesn’t get paids enough to be overrated…WTF Rosen…?
