Who Should Start Game 1 for the Bulls Next Season? (w/poll)

According to VDN, the starting line ups are not set.  So we as fans should be ready for anything.

Star-divide

"I don’t know if the starting lineup is set," Del Negro insisted. "There are things we’ll do a little differently. We should have a good rotation, deeper. I thought our rotations at times got a little short at the end of the season. So hopefully I can get a comfort factor with the young guys and guys we added to have a deeper rotation. Jannero can score. Kirk will push Derrick. John and Luol at three. Luol can play four. James Johnson can play three and four. Without having our leading scorer, we’re going to have to have other guys producing those points and also making plays down the stretch for us. We expect a lot for ourselves." http://blogs.bulls.com/chicago_bulls_blog/2009/07/forman-and-del-negro-optimistic-about-season.html

With that in mind, I thought of the following poll.  The conventional wisdom is that the Bulls will start Rose-Salmons-Deng-Thomas-Noah to begin the season.  But VDN  doesn't do conventional wisdom.  VDN loves to play small, would trust Kirk with his life, begins every day staring at a picture of Brad Miller, began last season with Thabo in the starting line up (w/ Kirk and Ben on the bench), started Aaron Gray 8 games last season, and has the best hair of any person on TV.  I think the Bulls should start Rose-Salmons-Deng-Thomas-Noah.  I think they will start Rose-Hinrich-Deng-Thomas-Noah.  Another possibility is Rose-Hinrich-Deng-Noah-Miller.  .

What do you think?

"Kirk will push Derrick."

Does he mean Kirk will actually push Derrick down in the locker room one day after practice? Because he surely can’t mean Hinrich will push Rose in regards to the starting lineup. Can he mean that?

They keep pushing Deng at the 4 for some stupid reason

so it could be Rose/Kirk/Salmons/Deng/Noah

or if they hate Noah now

Rose/Kirk/Salmons/Deng/Miller

Where is the Hunter-Pargo-Johnson-Gibson-Gray option?

We'll play them on Christmas.

Things could be worse. We could have kept Boylan.

There's a difference between 'should' and 'will'.

I think it’s gonna be Rose-Hinrich-Salmons-Deng-Noah, to be honest. But I think Tyrus should be starting.

Vinny Del Negro: Possibly the most unintentionally irritating last name in the history of last names [Hint: I can't for the life of me pronounce it correctly].
-Brandon Jennings: PG of the future!

I'm getting more and more worried

that this will happen.

That forces Pargo into significant minutes and keeps Tyrus on the bench.

They are making a huge mistake if they play Deng at the 4. He isn’t strong enough to handle defending 4s. Tyrus isn’t much bigger but I have more faith in Tyrus’s ability to muscle up a little more against other PFs.

Rose/Salmons/Deng/Tyrus/Noah

Hinrich/Pargo/Johnson/Gibson/Miller as the 2nd unit.

Isn't the lineup a no-brainer?

Hunter
Pargo
Johnson
Gibson
Gray

The Chicago Bulls.....the more profitable Los Angeles Clippers.

I like it

but we should switch all the positions around. Start Pargo at the 5, Gray at the 2, etc.

the two draft picks will have to earn their names

but they get to start?

Deng has to be in the mix, since he is like a son to JR.

I wonder if JR likes Rose, or merely tolerates him due to his talent and popularity, ala Michael, Scottie, Horace, and Dennis?

If healthy,

F: Luol Deng & Tyrus Thomas
C: Joakim Noah
G: Ben Gor John Salmons & Derrick Rose

Bench rotation:

Kirk Hinrich
Brad Miller
James Johnson
DeJuan

had solidified himself as our new SF after last year.
