Raps going after Lee?
I know this isn't exactly "breaking news", but what is your take on the Bosh situation if a deal with Lee was to go through?

I don't think we have enough
to offer for Bosh, at least not compared to other deals Toronto would prefer (e.g. Miami and Beasely) over our garbage. It doesn’t seem like Kirk, Deng, or TT have much market value, and they would be (I assume) some of the key pieces in a trade for Bosh.
I think we’re pretty much screwed it turns of turning some of our current roster into a reasonable package for a superstar.
To add to that...
And I think I echo a lot of the sentiment on this board, it really doesn’t seem like the Bulls are looking to make any deals this summer. I think we’re probably stuck with a Kirk, Deng, and TT until the trade deadline (at least).
Maybe this is a safety plan
if the Raps can’t resign Bosh next summer. I’d love to hope that this would open the door to a trade of Bosh this summer, but I just have doubts that anything is going to happen.
Let’s say that the Raps did sign Lee, and then they decided to trade Bosh for assets. What type of assets would the Raps want from us…..
I used to think the Raps and Bulls made good partners with Luol Deng, Tyrus Thomas, and draft picks being the center piece, but if Lee signs with Raps that basically takes out TT in the deal. They just drafted DeMar DeRozan, so that may take out Luol. Unless they are OK with DeRozan on the bench and one of TT or Lee on the bench.
Ugh. I was so optimistic about a deal this summer….. I think nothing is going to happen. They are waiting for 2010 and hoping to get Wade.
Expiring contracts at the deadline...
And the Bulls have plenty of those…throw in some young talent, a couple of first round picks, and you may have a trade.

The Chicago Bulls are not going to get Chris Bosh!
How many stories have to come out that indicate Bosh would like to play with Lebron for people to understand this? How many times do people have to list the assets of the Bulls in comparison to their main competitors to note that the Bulls don’t have enough to trade for him? If Bosh makes a hometown pick he, is going to Houston or Dallas. If he wants fame he will go to New York. If he wants to play with another superstar he will go to Miami or Cleveland. I don’t see the Bulls anywhere in this equation.
The Bulls have a far better chance of landing Amar’e or Boozer. Of course, the Bulls would never land those players. It would mean taking a chance.

Take a deep breath and relax!
Everybody here knows , or at least should by now, that the Bulls front office is inept and incapable of bringing Bosh here. The point of the post was that if they are bringing in Lee they will probably be moving Bosh one way or another, neither excels as a center although they can make due. This makes things interesting as to where he will go.
We can dream that he would come here, but the questions is where will he go and how it will effect who stacks up where in the league. Bosh will make a big impact on whatever team he hends up playing for.

i'm sorry
i thought this was a Bulls blog. Well, I hope Bosh is happy in Cleveland. Better?
