It came down to money. The Bulls twice offered Gordon big money and he rejected the numbers.
The Swirsk, contradicting himself immediately into his lame Gordon post-mortem.

el oh el
Don’t give me this line the Bulls don’t want to compete for championships. Remember, after rejecting last year’s offer from the Bulls, the Gordon camp came back after the deal had been pulled off the table and wanted to sign. By that time it was too late.
The Chicago Bulls.....the more profitable Los Angeles Clippers.

Swirsk is just sucking up (down?) to the org that pays him
it’s not that I don’t think the Bulls want to compete for championships, they just don’t want to pay for them. Unless the GOAT’s on the roster.

I know it comes down to He said/They said
But Ben was just on AM1000 and basically said the Bulls didn’t extend a competing offer. Wow. Your top FA priority and not even an offer?

meh
The Bulls will face Gordon four times next year.
So either Detroit or Chicago is missing the playoffs.

As in Z-Bo? Just call him Boseph and be done with it.

In the end...
It was about the money for Ben. He said all along that this was a business.
