getting Boozer?

we could only hope, but it’s all about hope as a Bulls fan. Remember, it’s a process!

We cannot not, I repeat, CANNOT allow Bozzer to go to Miami!!!!!!

If Boozer goes to Miami, you can forget D-Wade coming back to the crib! Their boys, and I personaly know Wade and how he operates. So if we dont take the bull by the horns…(no pun intended) then we’re ass out on D-wade leaving Mi-Yayo! We need to snatch him up, trade Hinrich, get Blake and Outlaw, or Bayless and keep it moving…period! If we dont do that, as Bulls fans we’re fucked, we’re all FUCKED!!!!! Have some fucking balls GARPAXDORPH!!!!

DO IT NOW!!

Seriously, if now is not the time to re-visit that 3 team trade than when is the time??
1) Portland now has 8 million to spend and need a PG
2) Utah needs to get rid of boozer
3) With all the rumors and interviews and conversation doesn’t Forman realize Bulls Fans want this trade to be done!! It obviously doesn’t hurt there 2010 chances and it obviously doesn’t get them in the luxury tax.
ESPN.com does suggest that this trade will get re-visted but the bulls really need to be aggressive and take this deal. Yes, i’d be nice to get bayless in return BUT why? D Rose is there for the future.
I have a couple questions if someone can help me answer them….
1. With this 3 team trade, after buying out Tim Thomas, and after getting Hunter/Pargo would the bulls have enough to sign a backup PG if hinrich is gone
2. Who else thinks that if the bulls can’t get this trade done + with the recent failures to get Pau, KG, Kobe, Amare and other players don’t the bulls look like they don’t care about winning…thus, why would wade or other FA players want to come here!
Sorry Everyone, i am very heated over this trade and want it to get done. I want to see the bulls take a chance. thats what all good teams do. for real, we would be trading substitute players for a ALL STAR!!

by K_yle33 on Jul 16, 2009 8:42 PM CDT reply actions

my trade idea...

Bulls Get: Boozer, Blake (gets a backup PG with expiring contract – that Portland wouldn’t mind trading)
Utah Gets: Ty Thomas, Draft Picks (would save 8 million by dealing Boozer in this trade – way less than what Miami could do without a 3 team trade)
Portland Gets: Hinrich, Linton Johnson (to make salaries work) (would stay under CAP)

by K_yle33 on Jul 16, 2009 8:56 PM CDT up reply actions

the problem with that deal is that getting Blake pushes the Bulls into the luxury tax

Now, I think the Bulls should be willing to pay the luxury tax. But they won’t pay it. So that trade doesn’t work. I think that is the real reason the Bulls are pushing for Bayless. He makes less money than Blake.

The problem is that the Bulls want Bayless in return

I wonder if they throw in a draft pick or an additional pick would it change the Blazers mind. If we get Boozer and Bayless in this trade I think it would be worth it.

Here is my trade idea

Lets cut Portland completely out of it. They don’t want to give up any players anyway, let them keep their cap space for Andre Miller.

Bulls trade: Tyrus Thomas and Jerome James

Utah Trades: Carlos Boozer and #1 pick in 2010 or 2011

Memphis trades: nothing

Bulls gets: Boozer

Utah gets: Tyrus Thomas

Memphis gets: Jerome James (80% paid by insurance), a 2010/11 draft pick, and cash considerations (to pay James).

Bulls do this trade to get an all star player. Utah does this trade to get a prospect for Boozer and to save cash for Milsap. Memphis picks up a draft pick, loses no money, all for using cap space they aren’t planning to use.

We keep Hinrich which makes people happy, we get added cap space (Boozer&Miller) we win more games and make ourselves more attractive to free agents in 2010.

Haha

that would stick it to portland….

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, majoyenrac, Bullshooter and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light!

Does Memphis still have cap space if they go through with the Zach Randolph trade?

yes

Memphis payroll right now is 35 million. When they complete the Randolph trade they will be adding an additional 7 million. That leaves them well under the cap.

OKC also has cap room. Both they and Memphis could facilitate this trade, lose no money, and still have cap space. Memphis has more cap space than anyone, even after the Randolph trade.

Brilliant!!!

Is there a chance that anyone in the Bulls organization reads this idea?

Basketball Smurf you evil genius….

that's not bad at all

would this put us into the tax though?

by Calogero on Jul 17, 2009 8:20 AM CDT up reply actions

The Kings and OKC have some cap space as well.

Amnesty Rule Coming back?

This could be an option also.

“It’s possible the NBA could end up bringing back the amnesty rule that resulted in teams saving millions of dollars in luxury tax during the summer of 2005.”
