"I just think you have to put some players around him or he's going to sort of fade away.
"As good as he is, you can beat a dead horse only so much. If he's not motivated here by winning as his career continues, then he's going to start looking at guys like Ben Gordon who made a move [to Detroit].
"Playing this game is a lot of fun. But the meat-and-potatoes of this league is winning. If you're not on a team that's winning, it takes a lot out of you as a player."

Wow, Pip will never get a job with the Bulls
But he couldn’t be more right.

But I thought the Bulls were a classy organization that took care of their former players!
Oh wait, that’s only if you’re a good boy like Randy Brown and keep your mouth shut. Being the second greatest player in the history of the fucking franchise doesn’t count for anything, apparently.
Why resort to name calling?

Nah, Brown was broke and had to feed his family
Next we’ll hear how Rodman can’t afford to buy a kilo of blow and a suite at the Wynn, so Jerry will make him director of community relations.
The Chicago Bulls.....the more profitable Los Angeles Clippers.

Rodman is taking a crack at coaching

Man am I glad I turned down that “who coaches first: Pippen or Rodman” bet.

Actually, they did bring him back as something of a
player/asst. coach in his final year. He retired before his contract was up and of course they paid him.
It wasn’t like the sweethheart deal they gave Jay Williams, but it was something.

Well said Scottie
Although I wouldn’t start talking about Derrick fading away after one year in the league. Let’s see what they do this season, and if they don’t do anything then we’ll worry about losing Derrick to free agency.
