Does Odom intrigue the Bulls at all? Sign and trade for Hinrich? Insurance for Deng and another player who can bring the ball up the court when/if Hinrich is moved?

huge blow for the lakers

3/27 mill seems like a good offer for odom though. He’s going to get no where near that with the mid-level. I guess he wanted more security. To answer your question: Odom does not intrigue me and I would rather have Hinrich over him. Odom would take away minutes from Deng, Tyrus, James Johnson and he is old.

29 is old?

4 years and 40 million seems like an acceptable market price for Odom. I think he’s worth more than this to the Lakers, but about that figure to other clubs.

12/31: Fire Vinny Del Negro.

when the season starts he gonna be 30

why would we spend 10 million on a guy that is not even our future plans and screw up our 2010 plans. It makes absolutely no sense.

and were already commiting

a ton of money to our small forward spot anyways and just drafted a sf/pf combo.

i like Odom

but not for the Bulls. I think at the end of the day the Lakers get this deal done. If the Lakers lose Ariza and Odom, and simply replace them with Artest, than they have weakened their team in my opinion. Keeping Odom is crucial to their hopes of getting a second title in a row. He is basically their starting power forward.

Lakers offer to Odom was either three years and $30 million or four years and $36 million. Odom rejected both.

so what about a sign and trade with the lakers? odom for hinrich. could sweeten the offer for wade to come sign with chicago since he has played with odom before. it gives the bulls a better chance at attracting wade in 2010.
