Blairs knees blew out and he’s out for his career! That would actually be kind of funny in some sick way

I was actually joking about his knees and doubt thats the problem

I was just wondering why he wouldn’t play and haven’t heard any news. I’m not gonna start hoping he gets hurt just because the bulls didn’t pick him

Maybe they just saw enough of him

and don’t need him stepping on some scrub’s foot. A lot of guys don’t play in every game for one reason or another.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

didn't rose sit a game or two last year with soreness in his knee?

yes and thats why he sucked.. which people forget.

Oh and besides the fact that he didn’t care about summer league because no matter what happened he was the future of the Chicago Bulls.

Tendinitis flair up.

Something you’d play through in the regular season but not worth messing with in summer league.

one reason or another?

isn’t injury pretty much the only reason a drafted rookie wouldn’t be playing?

There are things you'd play through in the regular season that isn't really

newsworthy that you wouldn’t play through in summer league. Him sitting out doesn’t mean he has a big reason to be sitting out. Little reasons are often used. It could be mild swelling. Doesn’t have to be more than that. Playing with scrubs is dangerous anyway. At least training camp and preseason have a point and look at what disasters happen to guys during those.

didn't the Bulls hold Rose back in a couple of summer league games?

people were worried about possible injury concerns, and than Rose ended up playing the entire season, injury free. Except for the knife incident, of course.

I read somewhere

that he’s not playing anymore until he comes to terms on a contract. No time to find the link right now…

Seems like there were a few reasons

http://is.gd/1zJpf

1) Blair’s debut was fine and the Spurs want to see how his knees respond.
2) The Spurs have other big man considerations they want to see in Ian Mahinmi and James Gist.
3) Blair is playing without a contract

In the link, Spurs majority owner Peter Holt was at the game and didn’t even know Blair wasn’t going to play. It’s like the ownership just trusts the people they hired to run the team. Marvelous.
