Another Boozer three-way involving us.
Donnie Walsh says he has intensified negotiations with David Lee and Nate Robinson, and indicated if something isn't done this week, it may not get done at all. He also indicated that they had interest in aquiring Boozer. It is apparently a long shot because several teams are involved, including the Bulls. A three team deal has been discussed involving Kurt Hinrich.
My only questions are:
Where does Cappy go?
Do we get Boozer or Lee?
This is only a rumor as it is listed in the truth and rumors section on si.com
I can only hope that we manage to screw over the Knicks one more time, but sadly that was Pax's thing.

It's been done so much
that sometimes I forget what his real name even is anymore.

I think it's just a poorly written way
to say that the Bulls were involved in the previously discussed 3-team deal.

How did you manage to mispell Kirk's name when it's spelled correctly in the original quote?
:)
And here’s the link, btw.
And even though it’s on SI, it’s originally from the NY Post… which makes it highly unlikely.
say it with me people
your =/= you’re
their =/= they’re =/= there
our =/= are
kirk =/= kurt
do schools still teach english?

I think the guy who wrote the story was mentioning the three team deal with Portland...
…not one that could happen with the Knicks. Unless in this trade the Jazz get Lee, the Knicks Hinrich and the Bulls Boozer. The Bulls could also get Lee and the Knicks Boozer, but anyone sees Hinrich in Utah with Williams there? Nah…
This is entirely off topic,
but KC Johnson is on 670 and just said in a league with no salary cap he wouldn’t trade Luol Deng for Gerald Wallace. Am I nuts or is that just plain stupid?
I don't think that's too crazy

Take away his "bad" contract
and Luol is actually underrated at this point – he’s got a lot of potential to return to shooting form and he was a heckuva rebounder from the SF spot when he played last year….
Is that crazy? (fire away)
I like Luol at least AS much as Wallace
Does no one remember how well Deng was playing before he got hurt last year? He was averaging like 19 and 9 in January/early February. That’s better than Wallace, and Deng’s almost as good on D. Well, he’s not terrible.

Im sorry but Luol has not been as good as Wallace.
Last year Wallace averaged 16.6 PPG, 7.8 RPG, and 2.7 APG. That is that his scoring average was down from the previous two years. He has averaged 7 or more rebounds for three years in his career. They are both injury prone so that equals out a bit.
Deng averaged 14.1 PPG, 6 RPG, and 1.9 APG. Deng has averaged 7 or more rebounds only once in his career
Add to that Wallace in the past three years has a better FG% slightly but still better. Wallace has also averaged more steals and blocks than Deng each of the past 4 years. I am of the differing opinion that Deng is over rated. He has never shown that he can play consistently at an allstar level as we hoped he would turn into 3 years ago. He is bad at creating his own shot and is not aggressive on the offensive end. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think Deng is a bad player I just don’t think he is as good as Wallace.
The Dude Abides
Luol is OVERRATED
His given us flashes of hope but not a full season yet.

2006-07 was a full season.
He might have had some minor injuries, I don’t remember, I just know it was a great one. 2007-08 was a fluke for everybody, and 2008-09 was good until he got injured. Luol is actually underrated, and I hope I don’t eat those words come next season.
Luol has never had a "great" season.
He’s had a couple of decent, maybe solid, seasons, but he’s never been great, nor will he ever be. I still don’t understand how anybody could have seen him becoming a perennial all-star, even with his series against Miami. An All-Star needs to be a guy that can get the ball and do something productive with it, while Luol needs to play in a system tailored specifically to his game. He’s a long, old school baller without that special level of athleticism that allows the better players in the game to be as good as they are. It’s somewhat rare for a non-special athletic specimen to become a star, or even occasional all-star. Look at this year’s all star rosters: Wade, Howard, Iverson, Garnett, James, Joe Johnson, Jameer Nelson, Danny Granger, Paul Pierce, Chris Bosh, Devin Harris, Rashard Lewis, Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, CP3, Kobe, Yao, Amare, Duncan, Dirk, Shaq, Roy, Billups, Gasol, West, Parker. They’re all in a different stratosphere than Luol.
I see Luol as a third, maybe fourth option on a good-great team.
I agree with everything.
It was inaccurate for me to call him great, he was just good. And I never thought he would be a perennial all-star, but rather a third or fourth option on a good team, like you mentioned.
Yeah, under the current rules, having a SF that can't handle or shoot the 3 seems like a handicap
Oh, and he can’t post up either.

He's not good unless he can shoot like he did in his career year
At this point, that year looks like a fluke

What a miss leading title
It just involves Utah, the Bulls, and NY. I was nervous for a second.

The Kurt thing really makes me laugh for some reason
"Vinny continues to act like a crazed arsonist pouring gasoline on our season while running around carrying a torch yelling 'I’m in charge. Don’t any of you foolish knaves try to second guess me. I know gasoline is a liquid but I’m pretty sure it isn’t flammable and the odor gives me a natural high.'" - Tyrusmancrush
what about a sign and trade with the lakers? odom for hinrich? could sweeten the offer for wade to come sign with chicago since he has played with odom before..
