An F.U. to the owner
July 1 2009, BG signed to the Pistons on a 5year 55 million dollar contract
This is a sad day. I am a BG fan, and he is off the team that I love. I was hoping to see a different headline, but instead I saw that Ben was leaving for Detroit, and the blame should be on the owner, and his out of this world advocacies. We all know what happened last year. His amazing cheapness, resulted to the following events
Mike D'antoni signing with the Knicks
Doug Collins not coaching the team
Hiring of the current coach
Opting for Salmons and Miller instead of Stoudemire
BG leaving
If not for the fucking miracle of the lottery, Reinsdorfs ass would not have been as rich as a full packed United Center night in and Night out. I mean he does not care about winning anymore, he does not care about anything at all its not that he is broke or something, his team sells, he is getting rich without even trying
He is the owner, the General Manager, the coach, the team. Its sad, and its hard to cheer for the Reinsdorf's Bulls, he is god almighty, and he does things in his own way. FU jerry.

Yeah I agree. This is about more than Ben Gordon.
Reading your post reminded me just how many situations Jerry Reinsdorf has botched. Whether you like him or not, D’antoni should have coached this team this past season. If that was the case then Stoudemire likely would have really opined to be a Bull. Guys like Gordon, Hinrich and Deng would have had career years in an offense like that and they’d all be perceived as being more valuable. Even Tyrus Thomas may have flourished in a D’antoni style offense.
And you couldn’t be more right about the lottery. At this point, I’m seriously wondering what happens when Derrick Rose is eligible to sign an extension. Will Reinsdorf try to play silly games with him? Who knows.

The name of our GM is:
Jerry Paxman
There is an order to this name too. Everything must first go through Jerry Reinsdorf. Nothing he does not want is a possibility. Next Paxson must approve of any decision. Then Gar Foreman’s signature is written on the contract.

Luol Deng, huge contract
Kirk Hinrich, huge contract
Andres Nocioni, huge contract
Ben Wallace, huge contract
Tyson Chandler, huge contract
Where has Jerry been cheap? If anything, his problem has been overpaying marginal players.

And putting good players through the ringer for a decent deal.
If anything, this list above should show you that Reinsdorf should leave the basketball dealings to the basketball people.

IMO
Doug Collins would have been worse of a choice then VDN.
I don’t agree with the VDN hire but don’t bring Collins into this.
Option for Miller and Salmons puts us in a BETTER position for Stoudamire or Bosh.
…. and so is the departure of Gordon

And D'antoni or Avery Johnson would have been the best hire...
…but they’d have both commanded “real” coach money.

D'antoni didn't give the Bulls a chance from the start

did you miss the part where he openly stated his preference was to coach the Bulls?
1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

johnson wasnt
going to sign with any team last season.
Would you rather work and make less money, or not work, and make the money owed to you for being fired?
I would say, not work, spend time with the fam, relax, and soak it all up for a year..
All you people are crazy, everything that goes wrong you blame on the management, everything that goes right, you say htey could have done better. Amare was not available at the deadline. hence we couldnt get him. so we got two great players for our team, that are extremely cap friendly for 2010. we got rid of larry hughes for 2 expiring contracts in 2010. we traded that POS nocioni and his remaining years of ludicrous salary, we’ve done excellent in drafts in the past, sans TY Thomas, who was still a better pick than morrison, foye, and Bargnani ETC. All of you only look at the mistakes. if you were a pistons fan, you guys would all be shooting yourselves over the draft of Darko, The trade of chauncey, so on and so forth. everyone has good moves, everyone has badmoves, Just be glad we arent the knicks… or the clippers… or kings… or grizzlies… catch my drift? there are a lot more teams with a lot more dysfunction than us.
IM just sick of all the bitching on this board. on every thread, on every post, its getting old, and its pretty much irrational.

D'antoni is TERRIBLE!!!!
The Bulls are very lucky that they did not hire D’antoni. His style of play will NEVER win in the NBA!

How does losing Gordon help?

don't know who's call it was
but trading Aldridge for Tyrus hurt to. I don’t know if that was ALL Paxon or if Jerry had something to do with that as well.

Paxson's a jerk..also
Paxson’s part in the triple head monster of incompetence is large, he made bad selections in the draft, responsible for setting high market value for marginal players, lack of balls in pulling the trigger on trades, yet he made some trades to clean up his own mess he created. I refer to him as a hole digger.
Yet, I was almost an idiot to believe I should expect something profound from the new GM Gar?
A man that was brought in by incompetent quesionable Tim Floyd who has been able to survive and retain his job because he set quietly, mousingly and meekly while being indoctrined by the foolishness of the Paxson regime together with Reinsdorf’s way of during business.
Nothing will change with the Organization until new fresh blood is injected with vision and saavy to
stand up to Reinsdorf and yet allow Dorf to still feel he’s in charge.
As I think back at the masteriful job Phil Jackson conducted on both Jerrys. I’m amazed at Jackson’s skill even aside from coaching. Wow how they (the Jerrys) hated Phil, but he had them in a choke hold (because they keep winning championships) until they decided to break up the team. (that would have won one or two more championship has they been allowed to stay together?)
man up!

The Bulls need a change similar to Bill Wirtz --> Rocky Wirtz.
JR doesn’t need to die off, just turn over control of the team to someone who realizes it is the 21st Century.

stand up to Reinsdorf and yet allow Dorf to still feel he’s in charge.

Juan dela Cruz = DOLT
1. Mike D’antoni didn’t even stop in Chicago before he signed with New York.
2. There is reason Doug Collins is behind the mic and NOT employed by a NBA team.
3. VDN could you please give the man a chance he should improvement later in the year.
4. Salmons and Miller were a huge reason we made the playoffs and if you remember Stoudemire sat out last season since Febuary. Also IMO teams do not want to take a chance on him now. PHX is trying to deal him now ….why can’t they unload him???
5. BG leaving is a GOOD thing; we got rid of the black hole on offense and stronger on defense by him leaving.
6. If you are such a great basketball mind put your resume in for GM,
by bluezman7 on Jul 4, 2009 9:09 AM CDT reply actions 0 recs
I agree with all 6 of bluezman Points/Facts!
I think the bulls will have a better team next year without B.G.
They will also be in good shape for next years Great free agent class. They will have a chance with the $$$$$ to pick up two all star caliber players to add to the young core?
