I very, very much want this pick.

If it’s straight up for Hinrich, even better (even though I like Hinrich, blah blah blah).

Well, except that Harden’s athletic numbers will get him back to the Top-3 which means Rubio is probably out. The Bulls should get this pick ASAP, try to trade it for Bosh (#6 and $16 + Deng + Thomas for Bosh + #9 and then drafting Blair or Henderson would be the most ultimate of ultimates – although I really dislike that team defensively), if they don’t get Bosh, the best scenario would be just taking Harden with it. Re-sign Gordon for 3-years, $33 million, developing Harden backing up Rose and Gordon and find a SF later. Anyway, Harden won’t fall now.

But they need to get the pick if it’s available for Hinrich.

that's the dream scenario right there.

It’s not that crazy, either.

They are not shopping it...

Just willing to listen to offers. I am not crazy about adding another draft pick and guaranteed salary in a weak draft…especially for a solid rotation player. And of course, the Bulls would have to take back salary since both teams are over the cap…Mike Miller for Hinrich kind of works, in that Miller has an expiring deal…

I don’t see how this is good for the Bulls

They're shopping it

or they would not have said this. It’s their way of shopping it but not making it seem like they’re shopping so that way they do not get low ball offers…. but they’re shopping it :P

And it's good for the Bulls if they turn it right around to

get Amare or Bosh (I want to put etc. but I don’t want etc.)

You can assume they'd agree to a trade "in principle".

They’ll be well under the cap next year to not have to give back salary.

If they don’t have to take back salary, this could be a great trade for the Bulls. There will be good players in this draft, even if you want to use the cliched “weak draft” w/ no understanding of what it actually implies in specificity.
