Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

One call Forman fielded before the draft was from Phoenix Suns GM Steve Kerr, who wanted to see if the Bulls were interested in trading for forward Amare Stoudemire. Kerr reportedly was working on a deal to send Stoudemire to the Golden State Warriors.

How does this happen?

First, how does Handley know this. We’re the bulls all like, “yeah we could have had amar’e tonight but we turned it down.” WTF

Second, if Gar passed up an opportunity to get Amar’e because it was more important to draft JJ and Taj I am not going to be okay. WTF

If we aren't careful, the leanness we now feel will be the starvation of those we serve.

I think it went like this

Kerr : "Hey Gar, is John there?

Forman : “No, I answer the calls now”

Kerr : “Ok well tell him I’m down for that previous deal we had in place for Amare around the trade deadline”

Forman : “It’s fine, I’m gonna wait Bosh out. Thanks though”

Because Hanley doesn't tell us what the Bulls' reaction is, we have to imagine it:

“Thanks, Steve, but I just talked to Jerry. You know our stance. We’re in love with our own players. Not yours. Have you seen the upside on Tyrus? His upside theoretically beats the hell out of Stoudamire’s career. So no thanks. Peddle your defective All-Star forward on some other unsuspecting organization. An organization without Tyrus Thomas’ upside!”

"It’d be ridiculous to hate someone for simply what they say in a sports blog. But I greatly dislike every syllable of your angst-filled, smarmy, nondescript, half-assed, elitist-garbage responses." –Rogerspark Kris

If it's true

Hanley got this from Kerr, who he probably knows and is trying to cover his own sinking ass…..

He also could probably just awesome the Bulls received some interesting calls and turned them all down because that’s all Paxson seems to do, whiff on big trade opps…

That's really depressing to know...

I prefer Bosh, but if someone calls you to almost “offer” a guy like Stoudemire, at least you make an offer

Just another reason

I want to find Gar Forman and make sure he won’t be able to reproduce anymore. I can already tell I’m going to hate this guy for a loooooong time. Unless the deal actually goes down. Then we’re cool. But if it doesn’t I will be spending every weekend looking for this guy so I can destroy his testicles with my foot.

There is the other view of Amare

For those who like chocolate there are always those who like vanilla. Warrior fans do not want Amare. Check out the comments after the article.

There are some Bulls fans who don't want Amare...

I consider him like the consolation prize in the ongoing sweepstakes for a dominant big man…

He's the 2nd option

But, if the Suns are just intent on giving him away for something like Tyrus+expiring contracts+draft picks, I have no problem with aggressively pursuing him. Bosh will be a much harder get, if he’s even on the trading block this summer.

That Steve Nash is exactly the same as Kirk Hinrich, but worse.

i'd prefer Bosh, but...

if we can just get Amar’e now and be done with it, do it. a bird in the hand…

That's Warrior fans knowing that without Beidrins

they really have no defense at all.

Subtracting Beidrins and Wright to place Amare in the paint would open the Warriors lane for a 120 points a night.

Biedrins is not a good defender

I don’t know where he is getting this reputation, because he rebounds and blocks shots on the Warriors?

After July 1

it will be the best time to make a trade for Amare. You can still trade Johnson in a package if needed.
