"League executives say the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors have discussed a possible trade that is centered around sending Amare Stoudemire to the Warriors for a package that would include Andris Biedrins and the No. 7 pick in the draft."

Welp, if GS offers that, we can kiss Amar'e goodbye. We've got nothing that beats that offer.

Oh goodness, Amar'e and Nellie should be as much fun as Webber and Nellie were

We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look.

agreed

Bulls can’t beat that. They could certainly beat this Houston platter though.

yeah, I don't think there's anyway that the Suns get that little for STAT, especially trading him to a perennial Western playoff team.

Just seems impossibly stupid. Who would want to play versus Yao and Amare for the foreseeable future?

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

it is possible

that the Warriors have the best assets but won’t budge on the money? If it’s truly about money for Sarver than nobody beats the Jerome James ultra-expiring deluxe package!

yeah if Sarver is looking to save money

than Bierdins and his 6 year contract might not be the best move to accomplish that. The Bulls can offer Jerome James-Tyrus-Tim Thomas and the #16 and #26 pick. That move would save the Suns money and still get them a few players to replace Amare

by Basketball Smurf on Jun 25, 2009 2:09 PM CDT up reply actions

what would be our best package?

expirings of james and miller, tyrus, and the 16??

by Calogero on Jun 25, 2009 2:13 PM CDT reply actions

I think a better one wouldn't include Miller

and instead Tim Thomas. Bulls would have to take back the least amount of $$ possible (via the 125% rule on trades)…maybe use a trade exception (on Alondo Tucker or something) to further exploit the cheapskate Sarver.

How can one cheapskate exploit another? The plot thickens...

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

haha

indeed. This assumes that Reinsdorf wouldn’t just be content slashing and selling us on 2010 instead.

if we were able to keep miller

i’d really like the team we’d have left next year, assuming we re-sign BG. a big, big assumption, but man that would be a talented team
