Around SBN: Diego Sanchez and the Dangers of Fame in MMA

Here's the comment that got my attention:

Jade Wilson in Arizona:
Hey Bill is it likely that the suns trade shaq and Amare? If so who plays the four? Will then will there be a chance to draft a d blair or earl clark?

Bill Ingram:
Amar'e . . .yes. That Chicago deal that almost happened isn't dead. Tyrus Thomas at the 4? But not sood . . .Amar'e's eye is still very much a concern.

He also says that the Shaq to the Cavs rumor is nonsense... so what if Gar Paxdorf could actually pull of an Amar'e trade? Would it be TT (Marion 2.0?), Tim Thomas (played well for the Suns in the past), Jerome James and #16 for Amar'e and filler? Is that enough? Does VDN have an Ainge/McHale relationship with Kerr that we can capitalize on?

Is Amar'e even a good fit for us? With Noah and a physical big on the bench, I say yes.

I love the is Amare a good fit for us even thought

I mean let’s think of it this way….

Is a healthy Amare far and away better than anything we have? Yes

Can Amare be an all NBA first team player? Yes

Can Amare score 50pts in a playoff game? yes

Can he run the court with Rose and play with a speedy PG? Yes.

Can he create offense when necessary in our current open flow, less defined O? Yes.

Is he getting past his prime? No.

I get the eye concerns, but if we have any chance to get Amare, we get Amare (esp if we keep Rose and possibly BG to do so). I’d be fine with BG goign for Amare and us keeping Salmons or Deng, just saying, Amare next to Rose and BG would give me an awesome summer of wait….

Assuming this is from Poopsworld...

Bull losing potentially two PF for 1 ALLSTAR PF (Amare for 16th pick & Tyrus.) The Kirk to Portland Blake/ Outlaw deal would make a lot of sense because it could add some depth and free up some money for BG, but I just think Kirk is worth so much more than a Blake/ Outlaw combo. I am assuming the Bull’s could also get one of there 6 draft picks (24th being POR earliest pick). Resign BG, draft a wing at 26, take a flier on a second rounder.

Rose/ Blake/ Linsey
BG/ Salmons/ #26
Deng/ Salmons/ Outlaw
Amare/ Noah/ Outlaw
Miller/ Noah/ gray

OR Keep Kirk, Pay the luxury tax with BG, and find your backup 3/4 that can shoot the 3 at 26

the trade for kirk should be done

and isnt amare one of those rare talents that you could actually get and then let go of gordon cuz amare (and salmons and rose and a healthy deng) could definetly make up for whatever is lost by not retaining gordon?

On Behalf of Sue, Wjb, majoyenrac, Bullshooter and all the other Hinrich fans...Ill keep the Hinrich Hope coming...There will be light!

I agree with that Piccolo

Gordon is more expendable with Amare….though I’d personally like to keep him as I think the offensive juggernaut of Amare-Rose-BG would be something to see….

I’d frankly like to keep Kirk though if we had Deng go….

Mostly I'd keep Kirk

Cuz I still don’t think we’re going to get enough in a trade to replace him….we could have at the start of last year, but now we won’t until after 2010 season starst because of that big free agent class….and Kirk’s a good player.

I was about to say that losing Tyrus for Amare would hurt our defense

But then I remembered that Tyrus doesn’t get a chance to play D in crucial moments anyway…
So I’m good with Amare and having a potent offense become our defense.
