Gar Forman addressed possibly the biggest story of the Bulls' offseason--the future of unrestricted free agent guard Ben Gordon.
"We like Ben," Forman said. "He's our kind of guy. He's got great makeup and character, a great work ethic. Our goal is to re-sign Ben Gordon. In the conversations we've had, I think Ben wants to stay here in Chicago."

Any link to that story?
where is it from? Sounds good, but I’d like to hear/read the context of those comments.
And later on BG’s rebuttal.
"Remember, I'm Italian".
Here's the link

It is hard to tell if they
are just starting the “we tried but it didn’t work out despite our earnest efforts” song to cover their asses if next season goes badly or if they really mean it.

I think Ben knows and we know
That we need each other. The Thunder have the 3rd pick and are talking about taking Rubio at 3 and moving Westbrook to the 2 spot. I think the Pistons will use their cap to sign Boozer. So I think Ben really has no other choice then resigning with us and we know that we can’t replace his scoring and horrible shot selection … lol.
Crazy Thunder idea
Trade Kevin Durant and some contracts for the #1 and Marcus Camby.
Rubio
Westbrook
Jeff Green
Griffin
Camby
If they don’t like Rubio just take Brandon Jennings.

I hope they keep Gordon and Hinrich or get something really good for Hinrich.
I really like Rose Gordon and Hinrich, no matter the expense (that’s to me, of course).

Seriously, are there two tygers?
This isn’t what I was expecting from you at all.
Maybe you eased off some of the strong stances as I did with my old “dump Gordon” thoughts. Hinrich can play. He fills a void. With a young 4th guard[Danny Green :)] and an extended Gordon I think we’ll be fine.
If the right offer is there to trade Hinrich and Thomas for a big time 4 I pull the trigger.

I've been saying this all year. I'd almost feel like a broken record at this point.
My preference has always been for the Bulls to pony up, pay Gordon, pay the luxury tax and overpay for a great backup combo guard. However, I’ve always felt that was a virtual impossibility so I’m sure I’ve advocated different courses of action.

Gar Paxdorf still here
In the conversations we’ve had, I think Ben wants to stay here in Chicago.
What, like Ben Gordon calling back saying he’ll take 5 years and 59 million?

But but but -- that was after the arbitrary deadline, man.
If they don’t extend Gordon’s punishment into this round of negotiations as well I think they wouldn’t be professional and sticking to their guns enough. Who cares they could have had him last year for a reasonable price and this song and dance could have been over. What is important is having the moral victory. Trufax!
