Only logical answer

Thomas cannot box out Perkins.

by cranscape on May 2, 2009 10:02 PM CDT reply actions

it's because our defense is "pray they miss" - Vinny needs a defensive coordinator like Tom Thibodeau

on his staff. Our team offense is good enough simply because of the talent on the team (especially if we re-sign BG) that Vinny can “run” the offense and it’s not a big deal. They need a better defensive strategy than switch on every screen and roll.

That's a good point. Vinny should have told them to push the pace more, because

in the half-court we have 2 plays -isolation for one of the guards, and a high screen and roll for one of the guards.

Bulls Fans, you gave a hell of a fight, and accomplished something that no one thought you would. You have to be proud of that. You guys got a talented team. A few tweaks here and there, and you’re a playoff team every season. My Magic will do their best to avenge your loss.

Appreciate the compliments....best of luck to you guys.

Deng's defense was great this season

one of the most underrated defenders this season

by Syxx on May 2, 2009 10:15 PM CDT up reply actions

Really we might as well get rid of tyrus if were never going to play him.

by Gen on May 2, 2009 10:15 PM CDT reply actions

someone needs to teach tyrus to play around the rim and not around the perimiter

he doesn’t have the ability to dribble to the basket on a consistent basis. He needs to learn that, he’s had many chances though, so i don’t know if he will.

by aznsensation on May 2, 2009 10:17 PM CDT up reply actions

Yeah and someone needs to teach him to do all of that

from the bench because that’s the only way he’s learning with this coach

by Dils on May 2, 2009 10:19 PM CDT up reply actions

i don't really mind what VDN did with tyrus...

every time he was in the game, he lost my trust with some of the plays he tried. He still hasn’t learned that he’s not meant to dribble the ball. It’s instant turnover when he does.

by aznsensation on May 2, 2009 10:20 PM CDT up reply actions

Funny, because he only had one turn over.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

by cranscape on May 2, 2009 10:22 PM CDT up reply actions

and i forgot to mention that stats don't take into account...

how many times tyrus would start at the perimeter and dribble to the hoop and throw up a very bad shot.

I've gained respect for the Celtics after this tough series

Actually, no I haven’t. I hope those fuckers get swept by the Magic. What a bunch of punks.

Agreed, i respect that theyre commited.

but really theyre players are a bunch of punks that use dirty tricks everytime they get the chance.
Except for Ray allen. Hes they only one i like

I've gained more respect for Big Baby (I did like him already)

I’ve always had a soft spot for Scalabrini as well. House, Rondo, Pierce, Garnett, Perkins, Marbury, and Moore can all sit in the corner with Gordon

by Syxx on May 2, 2009 10:20 PM CDT up reply actions

Better get that soft spot check out. I think it is infected.

If we somehow get a healthy deng next year This team will get a lot better

As long as we keep gordon, he can be that 3rd or 4th option that he fits so much better into. Who can complain if deng is your 4th option on offense?

does VDN even realize that the season is over?

ok

as a non-bulls fan, I kind of got carried away piling on your coach. I know that I would have been pissed if fans of other teams piled on my team’s coach even if he sucked, so I’m sorry for that. Good luck next year guys.

No, it's OK

You can’t pile on him any more than we do. He really, really sucks, and the more people that know it the better.

I actually have to compliment Doc

He ran some of the best plays I’ve seen in a long time in key moments. Of course it helps if you have Jesus to knock them down, but I thought he did a much better job than our coach.

when VDN is on the other side

Do you like fishsticks?

by HOWEVA on May 2, 2009 10:26 PM CDT up reply actions

Doc kept searching for combinations

But he kept searching for production from several spots. He eventually found it. That 2nd qtr bench production ends up being the difference in the game.

I hope Deng is okay and can be healthy next year...it's been so long since we've

seen him play well that it will seem strange watching him play.

This was a long series.

by KentuckyBullsFan on May 2, 2009 10:33 PM CDT reply actions

Great series to watch.

If KG was playing this would have been a clean sweep. However, it was still a good series and I enjoyed watching Chi-towns young squad. In this writers mind, The Bulls are now on par with the Hawks and Heat in the East and will gain better seeding going forward.
