Noah is really good
You guys are lucky to have him on your team.

Tremendous!!!!!!!!
Electrifying! Memorable! Credit John Paxson. He drafted him. To see a seven-footer dribble the length of the floor, under control, dunk and successfully finish a three-point play is something to behold. That is why it’s the talk of the town and highlight of the game.
When they drafted Noah they asked Paxson why he did? Paxson’s answer was simple. Winner! I’ve never seen a player that size, at this level, make such a magnificent and comprehensive play. I’m waiting for jokers like Rick Morrisey of the Tribune to respond to Noah’s effort.

Name that dunk
I like “The Bozo Bucket”, but am open to other suggestions. Raging Bull? Running of the Bull? Noah Pierces Paul? Noah Pwns Paul?

I will eventually start working today...

WOW.
That play and that commercial make me so happy!
Joakim Noah is God.
Ok so Vinny seems to have the X's down.....now he needs to learn the O's.

The best thing about that clip is...
…that Paul Pierce fouled Noah. Had he not made a bone headed move, the Celtics could’ve won that game. He should be smarter in game 7 and the Celtics should pull this series out.

And if my aunt had balls
She would be my uncle.
The Bulls should watch the Hawks’ game 7 against the Celtics last year, study it, and learn from the Hawks mistakes. Experience is a tough teacher, take lessons from the past and don’t repeat them.

Yeah...
They can learn how to stop Posey and KG and Powe…good idea Gils!

Marbury was huge in that game too right?

Nope...
Tomorrow night should be a dog fight to the finish…there is no doubt.
But my $ is on the C’s
And I am hanging on to the fact that Pierce fouling Noah on this play above was a stupid and uncharacteristic move that IMO basically cost the C’s that game last night…
Taking that into tomorrow’s game, at home in Boston, the Celtics should be the favorite…
It’d be quite the upset is the Bulls were to win, and as KG taught us last season, anything is possible so Chicago could, in theory, win…however unlikely that may be.
Good luck!

Uncharacteristic?
Paul has a history of doing stupid shit in the playoffs.

Every Boston game has come down to the wire.
Not sure how that makes them the favorite. If anything it is a testament to how they are unable to pull away a strong win on their home floor.
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

I think he was just mesmerized. Or at least baffled.
Obviously, I don’t know what was going through his mind, but I couldn’t help that he’s thinking the whole way: “Don’t foul, he’ll fuck it up. Stay close, and they won’t call anything. Just body him while he’s dribbling, and he’ll fuck it up. Oh shit! He hasn’t fucked it up. He can’t dunk on me!!!”
Or something like that in a condensed form.
People should remember that while they have the right to their opinion, they are not entitled to be taken seriously. --Bruce Bartlett

He gave up the moment he threw that weak pass...
He just didn’t realize yet.

I'm reminded of how Paul Pierce once said,
“They don’t have anyone that can guard me” about the New Jersey Nets in the Eastern Conference finals.
The next game, the Nets pretty much started consistently shutting Pierce down, eventually winning the series to go on to the NBA Finals.
Moral: Paul Pierce is not as good as he thinks he is.

I think after he won the finals MVP last season...
He said something like “In my mind i’m the best player in the NBA, I have to think that way.”
It was in an offseason interview, wish I could remember where.
He’s kind of delusional I think.

He was at some overseas
clinic or something. But everyone kept asking him about Kobe the entire time. After so many Kobe questions someone asked him if Kobe was the best blah blah. Then he said “You know what I think I’m the best player”
I dunno if he even knew that it’d reach back to the states.

Hilarious...
PP is obviously a good player, but it’s debatable if he’s even the best player on his own team.

I'll take KG and Allen before I take Pierce
Pierce is limited to so few spots on the floor in his offensive game.
Allen can shoot from anywhere. KG can get stops from anywhere.

I think the best thing about that clip
is that Noah is actually faster than Pierce.

The best part of that whole sequence to me...
Is that Noah just seemed to have more left in the tank than PP. From picking off a lazy pass to beating a wing in a foot race almost the entire length of the court. Unbelievable for a guy ANY size.
This is especially redeeming when you consider that Noah came into the season woefully out of shape and was usually sucking wind after 15 minutes. He came a long way this year and last night was yet another huge moment on a national stage for our young center.
If he puts in the work this offseason I think he could have a monster impact next year.

that's what i loved about it
the energy, that even though it was in the 3rd overtime, he still had as if it were the first quarter just bulleting down the court.

Pierce tried to foul Noah as soon as the ball was stolen
But it wasn’t called.
by Gils_Keloids on May 1, 2009 1:24 PM CDT up reply actions 0 recs
Noah was too quick
Pierce flailed, but I don’t think there was enough contact there to stop a play and Noah took off running hard.
So friggin awesome.

So...if Noah doesn't get that steal and Pierce gets the pass off to Scalabrine...
does he hit the three? That would of been an absolute crusher coming from him. He actually played alright yesterday too.

Scal did play alright...
I actually enjoy watching him play. All hustle (for 2 minutes at a time) with a decent outside shot.

It just makes his 2 minutes of passion even more fun to watch. I’m a Bulls fan, but I can respect him gutting it out when his team is shorthanded for sure.

CAVS fan here
Hey guys…can’t help but say how great your team is playing. Really nice to see a young team with heart stick it to the C’s. They’re a bunch of bullies and punks, and their fans are too. F*ck em. TAKE THEM OUT.

I’d prefer the Celtics advance. The Cavs are awesome, but you’re going to want to beat them down to advance to the Finals.

That dunk is the film equivalent of
one of those scenes in a Van Damme movie where it appears as though he’s totally finished and on his last legs, then all of a sudden he jumps up and does one of those spinning bicycle kicks, or a sick uppercut and lets out a primal scream. Kinda like this:

You know, I was thinking the same thing
Except I was using Bollywood (Indian movies) as a comparison. The hero is taking on 400 evil-doers who all have AK-47s and he has a 2×4, he is all bloodied and stuff, his girl is crying in the distance. Then, somehow he gets up and beats the shit out of everyone, and the movie ends in an elaborate song and dance number.
That Steve Nash is exactly the same as Kirk Hinrich, but worse.
