doooooooooooookie.

More chances for 3-guard lineups?

Surprising that they called up a combo guard instead of a wing.

No this means a Four Guard lineup is in the works.

Playoffs here we come

I see your 4 guard lineup and raise you a 5 guard lineup!

Rose, Nelson, Gordon, Kurt, and Fish.

Don’t put it past Vinny, I’m certainly not.

Demarcus Nelson feels too close to Duhon for my comfort level.

Undersized Dookie at back-up PG that is mostly around to play defense. Yikes. At least Nelson can hammer a dunk or two home though.

Holy giraffe arms, batman!

6’2.25" but a 6’10" wingspan? Good god!!! And a 38.5" vertical? I hope he’s Kurt Hinrich/Ben Gordon insurance. (It’d suck, but hey, if they roll w/ rose, salmons, deng, draft a wing and nelson, i might not cry too much)

Viva la nuance! Reading comprehension rules!!!

I think he's there to back up Rose next year when Kurt is taking all the two guard minutes left over from

Gordon skipping town. Or maybe he’s just a warm body for a team that needs them.

Fire Vinny.

I don't get this.

Is he even going to be on the playoff roster?

1.Rose
2.Gordon
3.Hinrich
4.Salmons
5.Thomas
6.Noah
7.Miller
8.T. Thomas
9. Johnson 3
10. Gray
11. Hunter
12. Nelson??? I don’t see Roberson making it and Deng is out.

As Ridiculous Scott points out in the linked post, I think they called him up so they would

have his summer rights next year. They want to take a look at him for next year. I don’t think this is necessarily about the playoff run. It might be about trying to find another guard for the rotation once Ben leaves.

Fire Vinny.

I don't even think he's eligible for the playoffs.

don’t you have to be signed sometime in march? or is that only for waived players?

Yes he is

It’s only if a player was waived from an NBA roster after March1st that he in’t eligible for the playoff roster.

What a waste of a pickup

I’m trying to think where his value lies… maybe filling in for D-Rose/Gordon on the defensive end late in games? He’s a former ACC defensive player of the year…

by YaoPau on Apr 9, 2009 4:48 PM CDT reply actions

That said

I’d never want DeMarcus Nelson on the floor late in games

Dysfunctional Bulls Org? It's that apparent? YES!

Paxson please quit at season/playoff end..
