not sure that's really accurate

the Globe makes no correlation or suggestion that the refs clothes had anything to do with anything. It was the SI rumor page.

Don't deny me my incendiary, inflammatory heading!

(Yeah, yeah, it was definitely a wee bit of an embellishment. The Globe only insinuated that the refs were somehow corrupt.)

"We're gonna hire a motherf*cking coach with NO experience? Not as an NBA head coach, not as an NBA assistant, not as an assistant’s assistant, not as a college coach, not as a high school coach, not as f*cking grade school coach, not as a coach of the Lovabulls, not as a coach of the towel boys, not even as a coach of a dynasty on Playstation. Nothing. Really? Really, Pax?" - 1958ChiTown's Initial Reaction to the Hiring of Vinny Del Negro, posted on June 7, 2008 at 2:41 PM.

they insinuate without spelling it out

but they clearly are trying to get Boston fans riled up into conspiracy mode. That is poor reporting by the Boston Globe. I think the headline is okay.

I posted this about the same time, so I'll delete that one

But yeah, the implication was definitely there.

I guess they didn’t notice that some questionable calls went against the Bulls and some very possible calls did not against the Cs. I think it was pretty evenly called overall – some bad calls against both teams. But there were certainly plenty of things not called against Boston that it should be obvious the refs weren’t out to hand the game to the Bulls.

Like Noah constantly being bear hugged on screens freeing up Allen for shots

or the fact they only called one bad screen against them (when the guy extended his foot out way beyond his shoulder space and tripped up Gordon) even though they were doing that same thing all game. Yeah.

Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.

i cannot believe the number of illegal screens that

porkins has set during this series. its ridiculous. and if u pay attention to him troughout the game he throws a lot of cheap hits on noah and miller. there are a lot of push offs for rebounds. and in the last game they showed one of the Celtics replays and u can see porkins push miller from behind even though the Celtic jump shot went it.

I remember Michael dribbling at the top of the key. Everybody knew to just get the hell out of his way. - Steve Kerr

Bulls 28 Fouls

Bulls hit 26 out of 35 free throws
Celtics hit 28 out of 32 free throws

the one that kills me

is that a lot of celtics fans have been bitching about that foul called on pierce when he stole it from salmons on an inbounds play in double OT. ok, let’s say there was no foul there and pierce gets the steal… he was standing out of bounds when he stole it!!!! how dumb can you be?

ziller absolutely trashes the boston writers

Fanhouse

and if you want to really get some laughs, go check out the comments on the Celtics Blog entry for this. I feel bad for Jeff that he has people like that commenting away in his threads. I guess we should be thankful that Matt has an itchy trigger finger with the ban button
