Amateur "Hot Hand" Study on Ben Gordon (via TrueHoop)
Aparently Ben has his best games when he starts off cold. Here's to hoping he goes 2 for 6 in the opening quarter of game 4!

his conclusion
was obvious, with him even stating so. Meh…at this point I could care less if Ben starts “hot” or “cold”…just give me 20-25 pts and I’m happy.

basically, as long as he's doing it on 14-18 shots

A problem
I’ve noticed is that we seem to be differing to Salmons to shoot a lot early on as if he will “find” his shot even though his injury is the type where it is near impossible to get into a rhythm anyway. That time used to be spent giving Gordon looks so he can find his shot for the rest of the game, see if he is cold, see if he can get hot… And at least Gordon is capable of getting into a rhythm
Everything I post is speculation. I have no insider information nor ideas deemed concrete enough by those who are self-elected to regulate post content.
