Scoop Jackson discusses the Ben Gordon dilemma
Seems like he'd prefer Paxdorf to open the coffers and pay the man, but that he doesn't expect that to happen:
"It would be nice to say that what we are seeing with the Bulls in this series with the Celtics is a glimpse into the future, what we have to look forward to for years to come.
But unfortunately and realistically, that would be naive. Maybe even stupid. Like I said, sometimes the business of basketball is brutal."

Sign Gordon, Move Vinny up the corporate ladder to be JR's personal valet and hairdresser.
That way he can continue to concentrate on his GC ensemble and save face by not being shown the door.
If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.

I understand his point about continuity
at the SG position, but there have been a slew of SGs in New Orleans with Paul, and that hasn’t stopped him from being great.
I’d love to keep BG, but I don’t think “getting used to” new SGs will ever stop Rose from being great.
I agree with that
it was odd he used New Orleans as an example. I guess what’s true is that while continuity (or just quality) in backcourt-mates haven’t hindered Paul, the Hornets as a team are stagnating.

That was an odd reference
It’s not like MSU alum Mo-Pete set the NBA on fire before or since, and I’m not sure he even starts this year when they’re all healthy.

best scoop J article ever
Most aren’t very good, but he did write this one pretty well and he seems to get the situation better than most sports writers.
