Listen, it was a tough, close game with 95 possessions and 233 points scored between both teams. And Del Negro (who does have plenty of strengths, despite my constant complaining) coaches a young team. There's a lot to try and keep in order. But at some point you're going to have to trust the players to work it out on their own, running the plays you've been calling since October, and doing what 29 other coaches seem to be able to do quite effortlessly. Well, not "effortlessly," but consistently.
VDN's inability to save timeouts for the final seconds has been a sticking point all season, among many sticking points, and it's hard to understand how in game 84 (plus preseason) it still hasn't stuck. You have to keep one in your back pocket, and that doesn't mean you eschew calling the TO before the final TO. It's the TO before the TO before the final TO that you don't call. You have to learn to let it go, especially with the ball in your hands, up a point, and about two minutes to go.

We're never shedding that stupid moniker are we?
What are we going to get from you, Baby Bulls? I can’t wait to find out.

I think in 2010
they will call us the “New Bulls”, in 2012 they will call us “The Rising Bulls” because we will be rising to dynasty status, in 2014 they will call us “The Rosey Bulls” because d.rose will be THE premiere player in the nba (after lebron gets a career ending injury) maybe thats just wishful thinking on my part…but hey…it could happen.

Hopefully not the Rosey Bulls
If Lebrons career ends it almost seems like ESPNs does as well.

They will surely
manufacture another rising star, i would think there are plenty of markets sick of espn’s love-fest with Lebron. When rose had his big game against the celtics, alot of anaylsts were talking about how rondo also had a big game, if it was a story on lebron, no one would mention what lebrons opponents did (for example, the bulls play team lebron, gordon scores 39 with 9 assists but lebron scores 42 with 6 assists and 7 boards, Team lebron wins, analysts talk about lebron being so damn dominant and during the 10 second recap they mention almost non chalantly gordons stats as if they were meaningless. Though the outline above is fictional im pretty sure its happened way too often already involving other teams and other players…)

Ha yeah I only meant they made it seem like they'd lose their jobs
But I’ve seen that a billion times for Lebron even D-Wade.
Last time when Gordon had like 40 points and 5+assists.
No one ever mentioned him at all. They were slobbering over Wade then threw in “Oh yeah Gordon had 40 points”. Literally they just threw it in at the end like it was nothing.

yea
heh…so much for neutrality…its one of the other reasons id hate to play the cavs, i could just imagine the espn/tnt announcers….i am not that into listening to stacey king and funk ( i prefer the radio announcers now) but id listen to them over listening to announcers who claim neutrality but obviously side with the superstar….i think most homer announcers try to be more neutral…

This is the exact point I made to YaoPau
and that doesn’t mean you eschew calling the TO before the final TO. It’s the TO before the TO before the final TO that you don’t call. You have to learn to let it go, especially with the ball in your hands, up a point, and about two minutes to go.—Dwyer
I’d rather he not called it with 1:47 left. That’s too early to start playing back-and-forth games, especially considering the Bulls were up and had the ball. As you can see what happened, you can run out of timeouts at a more crucial juncture. There are, at minimum, 5 possessions left in the game, and in a close one, probably closer to 8, which is how many were left here. That’s too much time to use a timeout to design a single play. I would say a coach shouldn’t call a timeout just to call a play until < 1 min. remains, maybe even less. I mean, why not just call it from the bench?—me

I wish people would stop defending it
especially by saying “he doesn’t trust Rose whos a rookie PG” that makes no sense.

For me the best part of the article was the picture. Getiing to see Aaron Gray's goofy "Oh, shit" face in the background:

It's nice to see some one outside of here recognize overuse of Miller
That’s why you have to be wary of that “veteran savvy” phrase and praise. Depends on the veteran, depends on the amount of savvy. I’ve been a fan of Miller’s game since he was in college (he’s 33, now), but he’s likely done more harm than good in this series despite solid stats. This would seem to be nit-picking, but in two games that were decided on the final possession of regulation, that’s what you have to do to determine the difference.
Makes me think I’m not completely crazy.
