Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard will be named the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year on Tuesday, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Howard is expected to be presented with the award at a news conference scheduled for 2 p.m. ET. At 23 years and 128 days, he is the youngest player ever to be named defense player of the year, according to the report. Howard, who said in training camp that he wanted to lead the NBA in blocked shots, reached that goal with 2.92 blocks and 13.8 rebounds per game.
