Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

Well...maybe not. But that's what Allen Iverson would do.

I'd have some snarly remark for you Andrew

but too happy about the Cutler trade to be mean to anyone right now…

Except maybe VDN – he still sucks.

"The Zen philosopher Basho once wrote: 'A flute with no holes is not a flute, And a doughnut with no hole is a Danish.' He was a funny guy."

OT I know... but 2 first rounders? I'm pessimistic on that one.

On AI, I think it’s face saving. He’s trying to make it sound like he’s going out on his own terms, when in reality I don’t think anyone wants him.

Ouch that truth hurts even me

I wonder if he’ll be able to fit in with the Bobcats though…I think they have really 1 SG. But Felton and DJ can easily play that role….Felton is limited with his range though.

On the football side….I thought people were kinda rough on Kyle Orton. That guy was keeping us in games and winning us games early in the season. And the Defense was killing us….then injury strikes and I hear ESPN guys bashing the Bears about their QBs and praising their defense which was wildly inconsistent.

meh, Rex Grossman, Chris Williams, Cedric Benson, Greg Olsen, Tommie Harris...

… Michael Haynes, David Terrell, Marc Colombo. 2, maybe 3, maaaaaybe 4 out of 8? And Cutler’s better than all of them. Not that that’s the best way to judge a trade, of course, but Angelo doesn’t have my confidence to draft someone good in the first round. Consider me the “It’s only his 3rd year, he has a chance to reduce his mistakes still” guy. If he can stay around 3,500-4,000 yds, 20-25 TD’s and get his INT’s 12-15 range, it’s a great trade, imo.

Completely agree about AI, for sure.

When Greg Olsen is the best you've done in the 1st round...

I think it’s a-ok to send those picks away for a top 5 QB who could actually get better. Team still has gaping holes everywhere, but in the NFC North who doesn’t?

Confusion breeds success. If they don't know each other, opponents can't have strategy. GENIUS.

Much like the Bulls

In both cases, I try not to use managerial incompetence as a justification or defense for managerial moves.

Man, im a big fan of Iverson

but this is when keeping it real goes wrong

..on 2/18/09, Noc was gone..and on the next day, Larry "The Chucker" was just a bad dream...

i wonder how long until the headline of the league will be

“id rather pretend to know whatt im doing and be yelled at by fans than admit im incompetent” -vdn
