He may say that now, but I don't know if he realizes how loud the UC gets when we approach 100 points...

I still don't think Gordon is THAT bad defensively

But I the size advantage could be a problem. I still see that as a normal flaw going in to a series for any team. I don’t see that as the main area we need to be worried about.

I used to defend Gordon's defense, but I can't, in good conscience, do it anymore.

There are four main factors to defensive success. Forcing your opponent into low percentage shots (Ben can’t do this because almost anyone can easily get their shot off against him), forcing turnovers (Ben is woefully bad at forcing turnovers for a starting 2 guard, he’s like 76th amongst guards playing 20 minutes per game in STL%), defensive rebounding (Ben is really horrible at this for a starting two guard), and keeping fouls on you low (Ben does a decent job at this – he only fouls 2.2 times per 36 minutes).

Looking at the big picture, there’s just no way Ben’s a good defender. Every analyst has said it, every point of data indicates it, Ben Gordon is a lousy defensive player.

Fire Vinny.

Thats not what I'm talking about

I’m saying that isn’t going to be the deciding factor to me. It’ll be because we can’t play team defense.

Honestly Gordon is an average defender most likely but because hes basically 6’1 I think thats what gets him. Also guys light up when they see him and get more confidence. I don’t dispute anyone who thinks hes worse than average.
I just think thats not the weakness we should be saying the sink will ship on.
