"...Lies, damned lies, and statistics."
Half time shows are sooo bad
I wouldn’t be caught dead at a table with three affable wise cracking suits
So...what did i miss
cant see this bloody game..and fearful of hitting the bar to watch. Is it competitve? are we lagging? Did Benny make the road trip?

What if Paxson hired Pippen as the rookie coach?
instead of VDN. “When you know nothing, the possibilities are endless.”
Just as injuries make the Magic mere mortals, the Bulls choke. The winner of this game will likely bypass the Cavs and Celtics.
Great defense by our guards. Detroit’s back court only hit 14 of 23, 2 of 3 3ptrs, 3 of 3 foul shots, had 8 rebounds and 9 assists to go along with 2 steals. Meanwhile, their SF Prince was 5 of 5 in FG’s and converted all 4 of his FT’s.
Now if Vinny only knew how to teach defense they could pull this one out.
If you can't answer a man's arguments, all is not lost. You can still call him vile names.
Elbert Hubbard
we just need to stay in the game and wait it out
pistons are just red hot right now
Does anybody else get the feeling that Stuckey and Rose got something going on?

The NBA must have noticed we were actually succeeding.

another crap foul
I remember Michael dribbling at the top of the key. Everybody knew to just get the hell out of his way. - Steve Kerr
Refs loved the 1st quarter action so much
They decided to call a foul on any sort of contact, unless it involves TT
Man
Prince has Salmon’s number. He’s just too skilled and too tall for Salmons to deal with offensively or defensively.
It's more than that
Jaina. This is why Salmons is a better 2 than he is a 3. Playoffs are here, and the good teams force post ups on your defensive mismatches.
Is Salmons gonna guard LBJ or Pierce? He’ll have trouble with the 6’10" Magic guys too. Even out on the perimeter, it’s common sense.

well, yes i agree
he’s fine at the 3 but he definitely has a size problem.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
Against most taller 3's
Salmons can at least get his on the offensive end. Prince really is one of the best defensively.
Holy fucking shit
We got a fucking call. There is a God
for tim thomas nonetheless
I remember Michael dribbling at the top of the key. Everybody knew to just get the hell out of his way. - Steve Kerr
it's because tim thomas isn't really a bull with the buyout and everything

Anyone notice on the last play
that Tim Thomas was in the game, but they put Hinrich on Prince?
Wtf, Vinny?
3.7 seems like an eternity
Especially when you’re taking it out under the basket . . .
Only to come up with a desperation 3 attempt.
GOD
you hate gordon and miss noce? ahhahahahahahhahhaha

A good skill to learn.
Well
it is obvious which team the refs want to win.
Not exactly equitable tonight in DET.
Tyrus just ran towards Bulls basket while the DET guy ran and knocked it out the way he was going. Yet they had to have a conference to figure possession out. Fishy.

I pointed that out an hour ago.
Salmons O on Prince isnt pretty either.
In all fairness, Prince has got 3 to 4 inches over Salmons, but is every bit as quick. This is a mismatch.
Rose with two consecutive

And we proved
we can win at least one important game even with the refs against us. Because I feel like that will be the case for every playoff game we play. At least we can probably win one game. Maybe two.

unfortunately, sometimes it takes wins like this
for refs to gain respect for you. NBA refs work like that
They proved me wrong!!

I found that not giving Vinny any credit works

But anytime I say something good about him there goes a 3 game losing streak

BG joined the priesthood with that last play.
I am glad Miller and Tyrus got a little emotional about our ref problems. The complaining might help us out in the future. Have to stir things up to get them to call fouls. With all of those T’s they will probably have to review the game and hopefully someone with a brain will decide Rose should get better treatment at least. Didn’t help us in this game, but maybe the playoffs.

It is like having a nagging mom or something. You eventually tune it out. When your quiet mom flips out you noticed. I felt like there might have been enough unusual noise tonight that people might notice. Millers is a veteran at least. You’d hope that they noticed that. The Bulls showed a lot more emotion than usual tonight and it wasn’t the roll over and play dead kind.

also, as much as the refs screwed the Bulls in this game
we have to give it up for them kicking Brad out of the game. He was killing us all game. 30 minutes, 10 points, 2 boards and 6 turnovers (!). That’s just terrible effort out of Brad. Tyrus got forced back into the game, and lo and behold the Pistons didn’t score at all to end the game.

his defense was also not that great. it never really is. he does well one on one on the block,

11 points on 6 shots, 13 rebs, 4 assists, 0 turnovers, and a block in 36 minutes in a low possession game (just 88) is a fine, fine effort.

"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
the thing about this post is that
I haven’t read this much excitement since we somehow got the number one pick this past summer.
at that time, as many of you will recall, we had Rose not hitting his mid jumpers, Gordon maybe or maybe not playing better with a second scoring option in the mix and hoping Tyrus and Noah would finally get some real playing time.
Since then, we’ve gone thru a rookie coach making many mistakes (even though the injuries showed him, he can learn to appreciate who WE think his better players are after watching them), Rose developing exponentially throughout the year, Gordon learning to play without having 10 guys defending him at the end of the game. Noah and Tyrus learning from a 50 year old how to pass and go up for a dunk. and Paxson proving (to me at least) that he is a master negotiator. Vinnie has also turned a pick and pop team into a high scoring running and (at least as of tonight) a crunch time defensive team.
I think the trade gave us true upgrades at the center and forward positions and has shown our young guys how to finish around the rim.
this game shows me that we are becoming a much better team as each of young players is learning from Rose, Fish and Miller
Truthfully we should have seen
Paxson
Has redeemed himself quite a bit this year with the salmons/miller accquisition. What he has to do now is find a way to turn some combination of hinrich/deng/tyrus thomas/miller/ for a big that can put up 20 points nightly. If not stoudemire/bosh then start exploring possibilities like boozer. sign Gortat as our center and have him share time with Noah along with a scoring Pf and this team will be dynamite if they VDN shows he can coach and the bulls show they can play defense.
Good feelings these days though.
