"The guys weren't ready to play and that falls on me"
No, of course that quote isn't from VDN but Kevin McHale after getting blown out by Warriors last night:
"That's as bad as you can play and there's no excuses for that," McHale said. "That's my fault. The guys weren't ready to play and that falls on me. We didn't get back. We didn't defend. We didn't do anything. That can't happen."
"I didn't like our demeanor. I didn't like our effort. No toughness, no urgency. You have to come ready to do your job. We didn't do that. Our guys weren't ready from the jump ball. That's not good enough. When you bring new guys in, guys have to adjust. There are no excuses. We have to play hard and together."
I'd check out on this guy too, nothing's ever his responsibility...

I think that's exactly what Joshua Chamberlain said before he led the 20th Maine down Little Round Top
Easier
For the GM and a long tenured GM who seems to have a bit still of carte blanche in that org despite the fact that he’s McFail to be more direct than a rookie coach who inexplicably saw his guys yet again come out with no heart….
He
did say “our”. Maybe he was including himself in everything he said.

Maybe he is a blithering idiot and we have license to ridicule everything he says
Seriously, I believe he is the worst coach in the history of Chicago sports and in contention for the worst ever of all time in any sport.
If we aren't careful, the leanness we now feel will be the starvation of those we serve.

he also
called his players dumb and unprofessional:
“If guys were smart and professional, they’d understand the guys we brought in can help us win,” Del Negro said.

he could've made his point and said that a lot better than he did.

What makes it worse is his arrogant demeanor
That’s what sets me off. I don’t really pay attention to what he says (cause I don’t think he really knows what he is saying himself), just how he says it. After last night’s game he shouldn’t be so confident in himself.

Vinny belongs somewhere else

Perhaps with another guy who blasts players for lack of effort when he has lost touch with reality?
Confusion breeds success. If they don't know each other, opponents can't have strategy. GENIUS.
I don't see what in the world Reisdorf or Pax saw in Vinny
that warranted giving him the head coaching gig. I’m not able to see what goes on behind the scenes, but I have not yet seen Vinny do anything right. What does it say about Paxson/Reinsdorf that they thought this idiot in a suit could coach a professional basketball team?
Reinsdorf
saw somebody who was cheap.
