We can laugh at him...

Just like we’ll all laugh at Gordon making $6 mil/yr in Oklahoma City. But then, where’s that put the Bulls?

Why would Gordon sign for $6 million a year in OKC?

When he can make more than that on the MLE anywhere else?

well, insert whatever number and city you think Gordon will end up at as you see fit

you know, other than Chicago.

It'd be disappointing to lose Gordon like that.

The Bulls have a simple task at hand. Give Gordon a fair shake. Just re-offer that $54 million deal, and you probably keep Gordon. OKC seems to have decided that a defensive stopper in Thabo is the right fit next to Durant. Detroit is really the only wildcard in here.

The $54 million puts ample space between itself and an MLE offer. It will keep Gordon from making decisions based on pride. And come on, $54 million is a good price for Gordon. Hell, we should have let him accept it when he tried to last summer, and avoided this mess!

We're going to be picking like 16th and 26th.

What type of shooting guard are we expecting to get that will replace Gordon? Maybe Stephen Curry falls when teams look at his slight frame, and we take him at 15th, as a three point specialist.

But come on.

I think we will end up drafting a small forward and a big man. The small forward will be to replace John Salmons.

The small forward? Omri Casspi would be the guy I would think. The big man? Who knows.

Brad Miller, Kirk Hinrich, Ben Gordon (presumably), Luol Deng, Jerome James, Tim Thomas, John Salmons, Derrick Rose, Tyrus Thomas, Joakim Noah. That’s already 10 players under contract.

We are going to be looking for some veteran help, not rookie help imo. Therefore, I think the Bulls will beat the rush (second round where all the foreigners get taken), by taking a guy like Casspi in the first round. Maybe a college senior with the Spurs pick. (Tyler Hansborough would be the guy I would think).

If I was to pick who the Bulls were picking now, under the assumption they were picking 16th and 26th, I’d say that Casspi at 15, and Hansborough at 26.

And by Salmons replacement, I mean in a few years, since Salmons has a limited window. Use the old Spurs strategy of getting really good foreign prospects, then bringing them over. If Casspi wants to come over right away, you bring him in, start developing him behind John Salmons, and that gives you ample opportunity to trade Luol Deng.

They'll draft a SG and let Gordon walk.

I don’t care how good that player is. Do you think the Bulls really care either?

and be prepared to be disappointed.

Is there anything this organization has done to indicate they might NOT disappoint you.

But why would we laugh at Gordon for?

Aren’t the Bulls still over paying other players and not giving him enough dough. Along with him helping lead us to the playoffs for those years. I can’t really have anything agianst him…or guys like Skiles either.

It

12/31: Fire Vinny Del Negro.

I don't see what's funny is ripping D'Antoni

He’s got lots of room to work this Summer. After that it gets really scary.

We should have D’Antoni coaching this team. We’d have a real coach with a real strategy that actually does get us to the next stage where we then hire a championship coach.

Instead we have great hair and an obviously successful interlocutor.

D'Antoni would love to have a starting roster

of Rose, Gordon, Salmons, TT and Noah, no?

Maybe we can (but probably not)?

Chris Duhon was masquerading as a good PG for half the season

David Lee, Wilson Chandler, and Nate Robinson are all young players enjoying success this year, Lee putting up gaudy numbers that could force some crazy team to overpay a ton.

Confusion breeds success. If they don't know each other, opponents can't have strategy. GENIUS.

they took crawford, curry, hughes.. next Deng .. problem solved.

If you told me at the beginning of the season that an NBA team

would have a starting lineup of Chris Duhon, Larry Hughes, Wilson Chandler, Al Harrington, David Lee…

I would’ve first said “oh my god, someone take the keys away from Paxson!” and then I would’ve said that team would win 10 games. Yet the Knicks are just a couple games behind us. With Nate Robinson as their go-to scorer.

Yeah, good thing we escaped that hack D'Antoni!

Vinny lets Derrick play a lot! Coach of the Year!
