damn, not quite the impression many of had gotten
I have rarely been around a player who acts less professionally. Everyone in the media in Chicago has basically gotten tired of Larry’s act and pretty much is ignoring his blatant violations of team rules on a regular basis. I assume he continues to accept the fines with indifference. You can see the Bulls have given up and put him on the inactive list.
That is surprising.
To me this screams ring leader to the eating in the locker room situtation. I also think he could become a cancer in the locker room with this attitude.
i think everyone now realizes...
how much of a douchebag he really is and no one pays attention to him. Bulls should just buy him out so he is no sort of distraction. Our young players don’t need to see this.

Disagree.
Its too early to buy out Hughes…his expiring contract could be of significant value over the Summer, on draft night or even next season if a trade is to be made…

i agree that they shouldn't buy him out
but i have a feeling if he’s not traded by the deadline the bulls’ll send him packing for the rest of the season.
"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"
If Sam's right on what it would take to get Amare, sign me up
There’s a general rule on trades in the NBA; If you give up the best player in the deal, you better get a lot, like draft picks and all the other team’s best talent. That’s the cost. For the Suns, they’d like a point guard, so Hinrich. They want a four to replace Stoudemire, so it would have to be Tyrus. They want toughness, so perhaps Nocioni and/or Sefolosha. Plus your No. 1 draft pick. You’d have to start there if you think you can get a perennial All-Star.
Seriously, Tyrus is the only player currently of significant value to this team they’d be giving up and they get an upgrade on him in return. And the first round pick(s), whatever, team doesn’t need them. Sam’s so dismissive of his readers’ trade proposals, but this is ludicrous.
We have every right to dream heroic dreams. Those who say that we're in a time when there are no heroes, they just don't know where to look.

Well, Kerr seems to be of the "I love grittiness" mold...
… but yeah, we unload all of the contracts we want to unload, and get Amare to boot? Shit, what a great deal.
If we could do that, it’s basically a no-risk proposition. Don’t extend Amare’s contract yet and see how next season plays out. We’re under the cap with him as a free agent, so we can entertain offers with Bosh and Wade if we think Amare is a malcontent.
absolutely
this ‘teams need toughness and Nocioni is tough’ idea is said so often, there has to be some truth to it? right? hopefully?

God I hope so
And what do we think about Kerr? Is this what Pax would if he were decisive?
I guess I shouldn’t say that yet, but boy, if he trades Amare for Kirk, Noc and Tyrus, he might be the all-time king of grittiness. Of course, by trading those guys away for Amare, Pax would be forfeiting membership in the grittiness club altogether.
One can fantasize.
