Around SBN: Troubled Yankees Join Troubled Red Sox In Last Place

Now I know Rose hasn't been able to maintain his early season form, but if we're talking about a player who has had a significant positive impact on his team, as well as put up good numbers, why Mo over Rose? Check out their numbers. Except for points per game (in which Mo has the slight edge), Derrick takes the cake in all basic stat categories. So why wasn't Rose even in the discussions? And if Cavs fans can be outraged at Mo's second "slight," why can't we be outraged at Rose's?

Mo Williams: 17.1 ppg, 46.4%, 4.2 apg, 3.3 rpg, 0.8 spg

Derrick Rose: 16.7 ppg, 46.9%, 6.3 apg, 3.6 rpg, 0.9 spg

because they're winning?

i don’t think they really have a beef, though jameer’s numbers also fall in line (16.7 ppg, 5.4 apg, 3.5 rpg, 1.2 spg) other than his shooting which is significantly better (50.3%).

i probably would have chosen allen too. even ai’s numbers are somewhat comparable, but he plays the most minutes of any of these guys and has a bad FG% (however, he almost always has).

i don’t feel sorry about this after the huge shaft the bulls got 2 years ago.

Rose

definitely doesn’t deserve to make an all-star game…

Their basic stats look close, but their TS% (58.1% for Williams, 51.3% for Rose) are in different stratospheres.

Just playing devils advocate.

Not really saying Rose deserves it, as much as just that Cavs fans need to chill the hell out…

In all honesty, Williams deserves it more than Rose. Hell I would put Ben in over Rose as well.

I mad a list awhile back, and here is what I got:

1. Ray Allen
2. Mo Williams
3. Ben Gordon
4. Vince Carter (Nets already have allstar, so he’s below Gordon since commish makes the sub)
5. Andre Iguoldala
6. Rajon Rondo
7. Derrick Rose
8. Chris Duhon

I think East guard replacements would go in that order. Remember, Stern picks them.

Maybe another guard will drop out

then Stern can add Rondo and people in Cleveland will start spontaneously combusting.
