Noc

Played a pretty good game yesterday.

Surprisingly this game didn’t get completely out of hand when Aaron had to play so much in the first half….but after they adjusted to just attack Aaron, then things went out of control.

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 8:00 AM CST up reply actions

Hmmm...another of them them are you?

Noce finally does something good (yes, one shot) but you are absolutely determined to turn it into something bad.

by PatBull on Feb 3, 2009 9:20 PM CST reply actions

that was crap, too.

I’m getting more angry at the defensive mistakes right now, rather than the missed shots

by simonswiss on Feb 3, 2009 9:23 PM CST up reply actions

so aaron brooks cancelled out Noce's 3?

Or did I miss out on another 3? Artest maybe? Battier?

by PatBull on Feb 3, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

When is Aaron Brooks

Noc’s man. Noc rotated to cover the wide open 6 ft Brooks because again the team doesn’t switch….

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 8:03 AM CST up reply actions

Exactly my point.

They blame Noce for Aaron Brooks 3pointer because he was the one running to challenge it. If he didn’t run there, they would have said he doesn’t rotate. If he did and Crooks passed it to Noce’s original man and that player scored, again, noce’s fault for leaving his man.

by PatBull on Feb 5, 2009 1:48 AM CST up reply actions

Amen

Noc ain’t perfect, but none of the Bulls are. Still the ire agianst him is often unfounded…..he’s not nearly as bad as his BaB rep….though he was awful for a good 10 game stretch this year (inexplicably awful) he’s righted that ship, and to be honest the team was awful that time too and it wasn’t all because of Noc.

by majoyenrac on Feb 5, 2009 8:26 AM CST up reply actions

He doesn't help on defense...

he doesn’t stay in front of his man on defense, doesn’t get rebounds, doesn’t protect the basket and shoots the damn ball every single time he touches it on offense.

Noce is TERRIBLE. Everytime VDN throws that pathetic Noce/Gray frontcourt out there, I vomit. That’s how you lose games, by playing a guy at the center that’s just HUGE but unskilled and a guy at PF who is just plain awful at team basketball. Oh and Hnrich is trash as well. Where is Rose?

by kwintz on Feb 3, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

What was VDN to do

Noah got in horrible foul trouble. It’s Gray that’s the real problem on D (though even Aaron Gray wasn’t the culprit for Aaron Brooks, it was BG/Rose and even Kirk had a less than stellar outing). You guys getting on Noce because Aaron Brooks (the PG) was left wide open, when Noc was the only guy to run over there after he was ON HIS MAN the whole time, just to get a hand in Brooks’s face….

Noc ain’t perfect, but the errors yesterday weren’t Noc at all.

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 8:05 AM CST up reply actions

yep i am

no link why i don’t like noce, though. i used to like him alot when he could play D

by simonswiss on Feb 3, 2009 9:24 PM CST up reply actions

Was going to say something nasty bout him...

but I’ll pass. Most of us here don’t really know any of the players personally so we think it’s ok for us to curse the hell out of them but since you know Thabo personally…I won’t say anything.

I’ll be watching him though.

Well, it is customary to give the starters a rest at some point

Especially when they look like they’ve been running wind sprints. Maybe you ought to wait till you see how long Vinny rests the starters before griping. (Not to mention, the starters aren’t exactly running away with it there.)

Overall I've really been enjoying Clyde

I’m a little partial to him anyway from his playing days. He totally won me over as an announcer when the other guy was going on about Yao getting “tackled” and Clyde’s all “eh, there was a little contact, but Yao was just leaning and fell over.”

Yeah

their announcers had me wanting to stick pointy things in my ear almost immediately, but then I realized it was all coming from one annoying guy. I feel bad for Clyde having to work with him.

Clyde’s almost as funny/cool as Walt Frazier, though I wouldn’t take heed or put much stock in the actual content of either of their statements! It was Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Clyde “The Glide” Drexler, right?

Yao though is better than Gray guarding Yao. Yesterday was a game where we did really need Drew Gooden….sad to say it….but Drew was totally missed because Noah went down hard and early with foul trouble the entire game. He had 2 fouls in 2 minutes 10 seconds to start the game….

by marionette on Feb 3, 2009 9:45 PM CST up reply actions

I like

That Gray tries, but his defense is completely abysmal and he always takes the bait to run out to the 3 pt line to double team a guard that doesn’t need double teamming just to leave the paint wide open.

When someone drives into the paint, Gray constantly moves only his arms, thus picking up very soft fouls so that guys get easy 3 pt opportunities.

He doesn’t rotate at all, which leaves his man or the forced switch man completely wide open.

He pushes off often for rebounds, get’s called every 3rd time, and when he gets the call always looks so incredulous at it.

He is learning though how to make a quick first step on O whcih is nice….and once he learns to slow down after getting himself open to get a dunk rather than throw up a wild shot, his O will improve.

But come on, the lack of D is atrocious. Guys get on Noc (maybe cuz he makes a ton more and has been here a while) but Gray’s D makes Noc look like the DPOY. Noc ain’t a great defender, but he’s not nearly as bad as folks think. He’s merely avg defender and an average offensive player…..but he can be a spark plug and unfortunately because we’re a rebuilding team also can be a detriment when he gets frustrated out there and picks up the stupid frustration fouls.

by bullsfaninbigapple on Feb 3, 2009 9:37 PM CST reply actions

Yeah

We just didn’t have a good game. BG scored 20 pts, but was almost nonexistent the entire first half (and I think he played the vast majority of it), guys weren’t looking for him on offense at all…..

Derrick really wasn’t as effective as he can be…..and oddly didn’t play too much considering what we’re used to.

Mostly though Noah was in complete foul trouble and our lack of depth at the C position especially with Gooden hurt (even though Drew’s more a 4, he can play some 5 at times) really showed as Gray got a ton of minutes)…..

Just not a great game. Still though our D (Which is normally our weakest side) was pretty good for the night.

by tyger1147 on Feb 3, 2009 9:40 PM CST up reply actions

It's not ridiculous.

The kid didn’t play hard tonight. Didn’t go for rebounds. Didn’t try to control the game. He had Aaron Brooks on him. Aaron Brooks is a midget. If he can’t physically dominate a midget, there’s something wrong.

If he’s hurt it’s one thing. If he’s not, it’s worrisome, because you can call it ridiculous or whatnot, but what I’m seeing out there is a young player who’s not playing up to his physical gifts, who’s frankly underachieving.

I don’t expect greatness. But I do expect a great effort, because you never get to the former without the latter. Derrick hasn’t played with great effort in awhile.

Truth is, Tyger, I hope I’m being ridiculous. It’s why I asked the question.

i AGREE WITH THAT

I think Noah has a very good bball IQ….I just think Noah had a very bulls version of Tyson Chandler kind of night (Getting silly fouls really early that killed any momentum the team had been building).
Because while Yao got some fouls, they at least have some depth in Landry to play behind Yao, when Noah’s out it’s Aaron Gray, and while I appreciate his effort, he’s just not a C in this league unless maybe he can lose 30-40 more pounds and that’ll somehow magically give him footspeed on D…..

He’s adequate on O and Gray is a smart player, but he just can’t play at this level.

I don’t know if we would of have won, but why did it take so long to get Rose, Gordon, and Tyrus back in? It doesn’t make sense.

by simonswiss on Feb 3, 2009 9:47 PM CST reply actions

Noc

played well yesterday, the team got nothing going.

Noah in foul trouble meant more Gray….1 huge strike.

Kirk played like crap for Kirk….strike 2….

BG was nonexistent in entire first half (I think at halftime Vinny wanted to get the ball to BG more, but hime being so nonexistent in the first half when the Rockets were mostly Yao less made it too late because Yao came back and suddenly the team played better).

Bulls were missing free throws. Seriously we missed 20 FT’s at least, or it seemed, most of which by normally halfway decent FT shooters.

Our offense did not look crisp at all from the start, not from Noc.

Noc played a decent game. Folks are trying to just attack Noc as a scapegoat yesterday, and citing Aaron Brooks as an example is ridiculous…..again if you watched the rotations you’d see Noc stayed on his man and Brooks was just left wide open by the guards (likely due to a Yao screen at the other end of the court). That wasn’t a forced switch with Noc, as Houston ran those plays very well to get three Bulls on the lower end of the FT, get a PF out on the opposite FT line and have Yao set a screen so that the running guards could run accross court to the opposite 3 pt line to get an easy, wide open shot. When he got that shot opp, Noc would leave his man to at least try to get a hand in his face or distract him…..with Noc would have been Tyrus (because Tyrus’s blocking abilities are more a distraction) but Noc played well yesterday.

Noc was horrible

what game were you watching?

http://awsomepeoplesearch.com/

by NormVanBeer on Feb 4, 2009 9:38 AM CST up reply actions

Watch

The team rotations on D…..again.

You’ll see Noc wasn’t the problem on any of those open Brooks shots. He was on his man but the Rockets forced out our guards with Yao screens.

Arguing this is ridiculous since folks here only watch the ball. Noc has had some awful games, he’s less than ideal for our team, but when Noah’s in foul trouble and Goo_en’s on the bench, where do you turn. If Noc didn’t get so freaking frustrated, he’d do better….but he does get frustrated and harms the team more when he does….but he hasn’t been doing that as much the past few weeks…..he’s had some bad shooting nights here and there, but so do many.

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 12:22 PM CST up reply actions

well I watch the entire court when I watch a game

and I definitely saw Noc cheating to the middle or cheating to the perimeter several times, which left his man wide open. I don’t blame him for the Yao fiasco, because that wasn’t his fault. But there were several instances where Artest was all alone in the 2nd half, only to have Noc go flying past him out of control.

I’m not even going to mention his foul/hack job last night.

http://awsomepeoplesearch.com/

by NormVanBeer on Feb 4, 2009 1:11 PM CST up reply actions

The fouling/hacking

bit has gotten out of hand I think. He needs to stop that crap now.

by sue369 on Feb 4, 2009 2:16 PM CST up reply actions

Agree there

The hacking/fouling stuff is a bit much and ridiculous.

I’m not saying Noc is perfect. He’s an adequate/avg defender, has his moments and he has plenty of bad moments (especially when frustrated where he turns quickly to awful), but the nitpicking here is mostly unwarranted…..especially after a decent game.

I mean we all saw Deng let the gimpy TMAC get right by him for a dunk (in the TMAC dunk on Tyrus) and we don’t get on Deng because he’s a better player than Noc and was having an awesome game….

Give Noc a little credit. He hasn’t been perfect, and he’s been very bad at times (especially in Dec)…..but come on, a decent game and it’s nit picking on him for past mistakes.

He did get a bit chippy, but he was effective, and citing Artest being open once or twice it’s not like first of all Artest was his man (he was Deng’s mostly) and secondly it’s not like Artest is Joe Scrub….

Noc has his bad moments, but is often made to look worse when he jumps off his man to challenge the wide open guy, or when his teammates don’t rotate.

I would say all the Bulls played better than avg D (especially for us) last night though…..

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 3:32 PM CST up reply actions

rose-colored glasses

Noc is not an average/adequate defender. Maybe all of the grunts and fist-pumping has made you biased, but Noc is below-average at best when it comes to defending.

http://awsomepeoplesearch.com/

by NormVanBeer on Feb 4, 2009 3:43 PM CST up reply actions

Disagree

As do others, as Noc is often termed a player of value and has been referenced throughout the league as a hard nosed defender.

I think we’re soured on him because a) he’s played oft-frustrated this year which is annoying and mostly b) he is too expensive and takes up critical cap space on our team that could go elsewhere and c) he plays often to steal Tyrus minutes……

But he is an adequate defender, has bad games, has better than avg games….

He’s more a roster scapegoat since we have real needs and he ain’t one of them….

He's a rookie

For chrissakes. He’ll learn. He’s doing far better than any other rookie we’ve had recently and is still among many as the top rookie in his class (And yet going into the year folks thought he’d be the best in 3-5 years, but it was all Oden, Mayo, Fernandez, Love, Gasol) out of the gate.

Relax a bit. Brooks is a speedy player…..Rose is quick too, but his hole is D. He’ll improve.

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 11:31 AM CST up reply actions

Lazy defense is a bad habit that can stick with a player

Especially if he’s on a bad team. I thought people were being overly nitpicky when they criticized his D earlier, but now it worries me. I don’t want to see him go the route of Baron Davis.

But until it does

Let’s not crucify Rose. He’s a rookie, he has holes mostly on defense (Though his shot could improve). Rookie’s rarely figure out defense, especially in the guard spots….

I know his D is atrocious, but I know he’ll learn and am definitely not afraid it’ll stick (he seems to want to learn) and the few plays where he does make critical stops he sees what it does for the team….

We’ll see late next year…..or his 3rd year and if no improvement is shown on D, then we can really criticze.

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 2:37 PM CST up reply actions

Baron Davis

Though would be very frustrating as he’s a guy who definitely can defend (he single handldly stopped the breaking out rookie D. Wade in the playoffs with some amazing D) but doesn’t try.

Rose I think is trying his damndest, just hasn’t learned…..that’s the difference.

He wasn’t even in front of him at the beginning of the play. He basically conceded the basket before Brooks got the ball.

You wanted Thabo on Yao?

And Tyrus played 37 minutes, so it’s not like he got benched so Noc could get in. More like with Joakim fouling out in 18 minutes Vinny had to play someone at C. Aaron wasn’t scoring tonight – Noc may be an idiot, but he did hit some baskets while he was in there.

I’m giving Vinny the benefit of the doubt on this one – I think if Joakim manages to stay in longer, Noc sees the 14-16 minutes he’s been getting the last few. Especially after that idiotic foul where he ran over the guy running to the sideline to call a timeout.

excuse me

but can you show me where in my post I saw I wanted Thabo on Yao?? No, because I never said that. I wanted Gray on Yao and I wanted Thabo in for Noc. Noc guarding Yao should never be considered in life, so that wasn’t even on my mind when I was ranting about Noc’s minutes.

http://awsomepeoplesearch.com/

by NormVanBeer on Feb 4, 2009 9:40 AM CST up reply actions

Look, this isn't a defense of Noc

He’s been completely out of control on defense lately in general, and he’s obviously a horrid physical matchup for Yao. He’s almost become a parody of himself this season – here’s Noc doing his impression of himself as the wild bull of pamplona!

I saw this as a pick your poison kind of night – Aaron wasn’t doing well on Yao either, and Noc did bring some offensive production which Aaron did not. And if you sub Aaron for Noc, you still aren’t getting Thabo in unless you sub him for some of Tyrus’s minutes. The only other option is to push Tyrus to the 5, which I also don’t see as being very effective. Ty was good on defense last night, no need to screw with that by asking him to play Yao straight up.

Like I said above, I give Vinny the benefit of the doubt here. We just didn’t have the guys available to match up last night – if it were one of those nights Aaron was playing better offensively, then I would absolutely agree with you.

And ya know, the Thabo on Yao thing was sarcasm on my part. I guess I should have put a ;) or something for you.

Man-slave, bring me my PB&J!

I thought Aaron was fine on Yao

Once again, we just got out coached.

When Gray was in the game, the Rockets just brought in Brooks and started running screens set for him by Yao. Hey, a scheme to tackle an opponents weakness?

Brooks then scores three easy layups because Aaron Gray cannot keep up with him.

by NBA Observer on Feb 4, 2009 2:48 PM CST up reply actions

That's why

I hate Aaron, exactly what you said. All teams do that same thing against him….and Aaron typically intensifies it by flailing his arms for ticky tack fouls allowing a guard to get an easy bucket and a FT opportunity….

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 3:33 PM CST up reply actions

Noah was in foul trouble

Aaron’s D is atrocious, Tyrus needs some breathers or he starts to force too much, and Thabo can’t play the 4, and Deng was playing awesome as our 3, so why stop what was working by forcing Deng out of position against a team that is pretty stacked at the 4 and 5 spots…..

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 8:42 AM CST up reply actions

I mean Noc has his bad games, but yesterday was not one of them at all.

We played one of the better backcourt’s in the league in the critically loved Yao and the mostly forgotten but still very damn good Luis Scola, not to mention all their depth…..

Noah’s foul trouble killed us. Still int he 18 minutes he played, he played far better than his 2 pts and 1 board stat line would have indicated.

His shot is a bit too complex for a big man.

He would probably be better off with a more compact, flat footed mid-range shot than shooting his usual jump shot two feet off of the ground. And some muscle and post-up moves wouldn’t hurt either.

I think

his shots will come around, he didn’t have much of a shot at all last year and has over the offseason nearly perfected the form…..now it’s just a bit of heavy practice this offseason and he’ll be very good….imagine if he did the Dirk shooting routine….he does have perfect form, and a nice arc, those are starters. Now I do agree there

Tyrus is more the 5 in that imperfect scenario. Play Tyrus at the 5 and Noc at the 4 at least……Tyrus will be manhandled by Yao, but at least can challenge a few shots with his blocking ability. Noc might not get backed down as close to the lane, but his only hope was to hack Yao because he doesn’t have the lift to do anything against Yao’s shot.

At this point

I couldn’t care . . .

I really do want to get into the playoffs.

We’ve been injury riddled all year.

It’s nice to face teams who are as well once in a while

I could actually see Rose being inspired.

For instance, when he went up against D. Williams in the preseason and at the UC, he was pretty aggressive. I could see Derrick putting up some big numbers. And Paul putting up some ridiculous ones. :)

Yeah

I’d love to see him play and wish Tyson would play so we can see what Noah can become (Except less a rebounder but a better offensive player)…

the whole bulls team in negative +/- stat, or at best +1

Yes, only 1 point, but as usual, a quiet, silent but efficient presence on the court..

That's 'cause he was on court

when BG hit some 3s. Set him up for one of ’em.

Philly almost beats Boston with Brand playing 6 minutes and scoring no points. What a great use of cap space by Stefanski.

Deng had a great game

But that was a play of some awful Deng defense…..

I guess it’s hard though because TMAC isn’t as quick as he used to be, so I think Deng gave him a little too much slack there.

Well now that every trade has been throw out there does it feel like this

is who the Bulls are? I just don’t see a trade happening for the Bulls. I guess I can only hope and if no trade is made I really hope they get a chance to make the playoffs and get some run against a Boston or Orlando.

Sounds like you see them playing better now.

Me too. But, addressing your question with another one: What happens when Gooden returns (this weekend?)?

At the very least, in this game for example, Vinnie could’ve used him on Yao. But does that help, really? Maybe if Gooden hits his jumpers, but they did well in the midrange with Noah and Gray screening. Does Gooden do that as well?

I hope Gooden takes minutes away from Gray and Noce when he returns.

I can’t stand watching either of them play for any extended minutes any more.
And I used to love Noce when he was an asset.

Okay, so that's a tough loss, but I can't hate it.

But there’s something about Houston. I can see why they’re completely underground as a good team. They really look like shit because they don’t have any great athletes… and those who once were are too old. But, man, they just have sooooo much talent. They are heady and skilled players.

Viva la nuance! Reading comprehension rules!!!

yea

i much rather watch a game like this then a blowout versus the wizards. They hung in there. I am not much of an effort guy, but I thought Rockets were just a better team tonight. And people need to stop blaming VDN. All coaches make some questionable in game decisions and tonight VDN made some but he didn’t lowse the game, the bulls players mostly did by not being big enough and missint 40% of their free throws.

Houston is a mystery to me and I don't know why they can't win in the Playoffs I guess teams like Utah and

LA are the reason but they are getting older and the window seems to be closing. Thats why I wanna see Paxson keep a younger group around Rose and then maybe add that top free agent in 10 and maybe some solid vets. So maybe the idea would be to stay young, patient and improve to where Tyrus and Noah along with Rose become a attractive team.

by ImmanuelKant on Feb 3, 2009 11:37 PM CST up reply actions

They're so deep too

but I can’t see how they’ve been picked by many (or any!) the last two years. Of the big three, I only like Yao. And he’s so limited: If you think Shaq (and Gray) are slow, well…….

It seems they play better when one or more of those guys is out. I love their role guys for what they do well: Landry, Battier, Brooks, Scola. Wafer’s okay. Don’t like Raefer either, but Adelman’s a very good coach. Overall, too many players. Too many I don’t like.

I wonder if the Bulls hit their FTs @ 75%, and Vinnie uses Gray on Yao right away instead of Noc… Do we get the win but T-Mac still thinks he had a game ’cause he got a dunk?

When TMac

Was TMAC 4-5 years ago or even the TMAC of 2 years ago, they would have been unstoppable had the injury train not hurt them….

With the modern TMAC, they still have the depth at the 4-5 spots and I guess with Battier and Artest at the 3 (though Shane didn’t look quite like Shane, even though he made Gordon forgettable in the first half), but their guards are weak with TMAC looking much slower, injured and looking like he put on 25 pounds if not more….

by majoyenrac on Feb 4, 2009 8:54 AM CST up reply actions

The one mistake Morey has made

Is never trying hard enough to trade McGrady, or trying to add a real PG. T-Mac is their best playmaker, and he hardly plays. Kirk Hinrich would be amazing for the Rockets.

I've thought

the same on Hinrich with them for a while, and even earlier before we knew TMAC was as slowed again by injuries, I would have thought we could have tried something involving Hinrich and Gooden maybe Thabo for Scola Battier and crap like Novak (I had a nice trade proposal).

It hink that would have worked great for them and us. They get a better PG who fits their team mentality and who gets cheaper down the road. They get a PF by committee in Gooden-Artest a bit-Landry all of whom have different strengths….and they get Artest and Gooden expiring to either keep one or both or make a free agent signee after this season….I know Novak’s since been traded, but that was my thought earlier this year. Perhaps we can still work something, but Gooden’s gimpiness likely makes him a non factor in a trade…..and I think a Drew and Kirk for Scola basically is not unfair, I know there was someone else in that trade scenario.

To paraphrase – Ben Gordon is wonderful and can do no wrong, and if he did have a bad game it’s clearly Kirk Hinrich’s fault. Oh, and Kirk Hinrich sucks.

the free throw line. 17 -28, if we make 8 of those we win the game. Luol had another great game and that was about it.

Most teams will lose when this miss free throws on the road

This should be a “key to the game” for every road game. What’s the point in getting Yao out of the game if not to attack the basket?

They play that one man zone with him in there. Attack the rim when he’s out.

it's not always that simple, but yes I agree, making some damn FTs would've helped

putting Noc on Yao should never happen. Believe it or not, I would’ve liked to have seen Kirk a little more in this game.

I wonder how much

of their practice is spent on free throws? Some of the guys you know aren’t going to make theirs but last night it seemed most of them missed more then they should have. Hope they do better tonight.

This year the team as a whole has shot it extremely well

Tyrus’ percentage was up to 80% at one point. I can understand Gray bricking 2 attempts, and Deng going a respectable 6 of 8, but BG is shooting 85% (he shot 91% last year) and Kirk is shooting a career worst 74%. I’m guessing Hinrich’s average will go up as the season progresses, but for an inefficient offensive team that got so many free chances, it really stings.

those are the two (Kirk and Ben)

that I was thinking of as well. Ben’s FT touch seems to be gone this season for whatever reason. He hits a lot more rim on his FTs than he ever has. I don’t know if that’s a matter of concentration, focus, not enough practice, whatever…who knows. I’d like to see Ben up around the 90s again though.

Kirk should be shooting them way better. If he can get up to around 80-85% that would be fine.

by NormVanBeer on Feb 4, 2009 11:09 AM CST up reply actions

weight training?

When your arms get stronger, you sort of lose a feel for the way you shoot, i think more so in set shots (whereas in jump shots, especially from longer range, it becomes easier since you dont need as much leg power or momentum to get the ball to the rim), Gordon we all know is a gym rat so its possible he has been doing alot of weight training especially during the season (cuz he seems to be wanting to drive it in more and attack the rim, and taking the ball in strong like that involves alot of muscle, in the arms so you can hold on to the ball and get a shot up or adjust in mid shot). For kirk, his thumb might have something to do with his missed shots, if nothing else, that bandage that he wears might affect his follow through.

I dont think the missed fts are a big problem long term (then again no one probably does) but yea if they hit thier fts today, they wouldve won. Im not worried about those two practicing shooting the fts per vdn, but rather practice them on thier own time to get used to shooting them IF what i wrote above holds any truth.

I don't know Ben's

3’s are still going down.

I think he’s just losing focus a bit…his FT’s are on par with his career average. The thing was last year he was shooting FT’s unbelievably (tops in the league) until maybe April where he started missing much more frequenty and brought his average down I think 4-5% pts—though still finishing pretty high.

Kirk was trying to hurt the Rockets for playing Brooks

Adelman needed to see a lot more of Brooks giving up buckets on the defensive end.

Last year

I think it was Tom Dore who made some comment about how kirks eyes light up when he sees a guard smaller than him ( it was a game against the pacers i believe, namely the guard diener). Ever since then me and my brother always joke about kirk bullying smaller guys, refering to the smaller guys as kids. Makes me think kirk is probably a jerk, and when he gets the chance to beat up on someone, he takes it…does that mean he has “the dog” in him?

Well

Diener in one game last year completely destroyed Kirk (a really disappointing game and Kirk’s worst game ever as a pro)….I was a bit conflicted though as I followed Travis quite a bit in college (nice guy, great rep around Milwaukee, plays hard, is a smart player, but much too small and too slow on the D end to really be in the NBA), but ultimately rooted for my team…yet Travis looked like Steve Nash that game….

Yeah

It was a sad game. That game and the Mobley 10-10 or 12-12 straight or whatever games both last year were Kirk’s low….

THough I’ve forgotten last year completely.

I like Kirk, and if he is traded, I’ll miss watching him as he’s done a lot for the team instead of stat padding.
