Some Sacramento observers say John Salmons needs to start to be most effective. And the fact his field-goal percentage was a career-high 47 percent last season seemingly supports the theory. But Salmons, whose defense also has improved since starting, said he's willing to take whatever role coach Vinny Del Negro gives him. "I'm just trying to get adjusted; it's not even a concern right now," Salmons said of starting. "I had a great opportunity in [Sacramento] to get minutes. The coaches gave me a lot of responsibility on both ends of the court, and I was able to take advantage of it."
