Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

There's plenty to talk about now for the suddenly surging Bulls, and, perhaps even a trade for Stoudemire. But, hey, Thomas got about the same production in almost half the playing time Saturday and one block on a Stoudemire attempt was like it a volleyball spike.

"The bigs did a decent job against Shaq," said Joakim Noah, who had just four points but eight rebounds. "It's my first three game winning streak (as a pro). Lindsey Hunter told me to act like I'd done it before. But I tried to tell him I never had."

With that Hunter yelled across the locker room to Noah to thanks for the mention.

"It will be a good thing for your future," Noah laughed.

Don't like the sound of that :(
I’m not explosive no more like I used to be

wtf

When I watch NBA games I often call the fouls before the referees do. Sometimes it’s a gift. Most of the time it's troublesome. - NBA Observer

yeah i was a bit unhappy to read that too

but i’m hoping it’s fatigue more than anything, given the nba season is a pretty grueling schedule.

"They should. They better. I'm Vinny Del Negro!"

He's humble I guess.

I just think he’s saying he’s not 17 or 18 anymore.. To us he’s very explosive but maybe he’s noticed he’s a bit older and doesn’t get up like he used to. Maybe he’s just overly humble?

He's put on muscle mass I'm sure that might have taken some off his spring.

You might have more hops when your like 150 lbs in high school. That is one thing I thought about is later on in his career he’s going to lose those springs and of course he’ll have to change his game to more shooting. Like MJ and like Kobe have… it will happen it’s just a matter of when I guess.

my bad

the Bosh thread should have been more than enough evidence for me to realize reading compression wasnt your strong suit.

I'm just saying when you get older...

you have to learn your body. You get injuries and you may think damn I remember when I was young and nothing fazed me. What’s wrong with that?

You still think Bulls will land Bosh for Tyrus,Noah and Deng? Keep dreaming.

by ImmanuelKant on Feb 2, 2009 10:07 PM CST up reply actions

But that will only happen in a few years

Now, he promises to keep dunking

Coming down after his two spectacular dunks Saturday is when Rose aggravated his sore foot. But when asked if he’s done dunking or when he’ll dunk next, Rose said: “Next fast break. We need that. We feed off that so I’m going to try to keep doing that.”

Best quote in some time. Awesome.

I don't like the sound of this at all

He hurt himself on the landing?

It hurt

when he landed. It had been bothering him all week.

Noah on Gordon

“Ben Gordon has been doing that for years for the Bulls,” said Noah. “Ben has been getting us out of deficits and helping us stay in leads since I’ve been here. We count a lot on Ben and he came through and it was a great team effort.”

Derrick cracks me up
“Shaq and Amare being down there makes you take it,” said Rose. “I used to do it at Memphis and I’m starting to learn it here. I used it a lot in college, but I tended to go away from it. I had a flashback tonight.”

He’s so non-chalant about everything.
