Around SBN: Bob Sapp Denies Throwing Fights

The Kings have agreed on a trade to send forward Shelden Williams and point guard Bobby Brown to Minnesota in exchange for fourth-year guard Rashad McCants and veteran big man Calvin Booth, according to two league sources.

On the financial front, the deal takes the Kings off the hook for the $736,420 owed to Brown next season (player option) while giving them two players who have expiring contracts in McCants ($2.6 million, restricted free agent this summer) and Booth ($1.1 million). On the floor, McCants enters as a fiery addition to the backcourt who will be looking to breath new life into his career in Sacramento after falling out of the TImberwolves' rotation this season.

I guess McCants is "fiery"

He may actually set the locker room on fire if he doesn’t play. That’s a pretty good eupemism to use for “team cancer.”

Why resort to name calling?

wow

Sactown/Maloofs are unloading.
Are they trying to lure a 2010 guy in? At this point, who is there that is appealing for a 2010 guy to want to play with?

A promised move to Las Vegas?

They might not even stay in Sac-town

So unloading salary is a smart idea.

Vinny Del Negro interviewed for the job today. I mean come on! Nobody else thinks this is nuts?
