right now, the Bulls' offer of Tyrus Thomas, Thabo Sefolosha and the expiring contracts of Drew Gooden and Cedric Simmons appears to be the leader in the clubhouse as we approach Thursday's trade deadline.

I'm just gonna hope that you are quoting god.

All the reports are really pointing towards the Bulls
I have a feeling we’ll get an announcement one way or another on Monday. For a deal of this caliber I don’t think it will be necessary to wait all the way until the deadline. I’m sure Phoenix will know exactly what is out there for them before the weekend is out. Also they probably don’t want Amare playing in their first game back on Wednesday. But, who knows…

I'm hoping and praying for a Monday morning Stoudemire to the Bulls announcement
I think I’m finally on the Tyrus for Amare bandwagon. Just do it, baby.

I agree Illini
I’ve been very much against this trade since the rumors started, but I’m finally warming to the idea. I just hope that TT goes on to have a long and successful career in PHX or wherever he ends up in the future.

Right there with ya.
I hope to see TT do well, even if it’s with another team.

This guy's had 3 major knee operations and has character issues and can opt out in 1.5 years...
Why bother??

I can't take it anymore!
So then what is your plan? Is there some kind of perfect player becoming available that the Bulls are gonna be able to get their hands on? People act as if, once we trade for Amare the world ends and we’ll never be able to make another move again.
Wasn’t everyone saying the same exact stuff about Pau Gasol before he got traded to the Lakers? I think that turned out OK. Also the Celtics were never supposed to be this good on defense with Paul Pierce and Ray Allen. You have to add great players to your team if you can do it. The Bulls have a rare opportunity to do that and they HAVE TO if they can. And any argument that you make to dispute that is just flat out WRONG!

Haha, your supposition that any counter-argument I might make would be flat out wrong
saves me the time to try to make one. :)
Thanks.

That's because there really is no good counter argument.
If the reported proposed deal is correct, the Bulls would either have to be stupid or cheap to not make that deal.

I think. May be wrong.

How would Porter being fired impact Phoenix wanting to trade Stoudemire?
The Arizona Republic is reporting Porter may be fired Monday.
There are strong indications that the Suns will have a new head coach leading them at Monday morning’s practice.
Although no final decision has been made, the apparent plan is for Suns management to fire Terry Porter – who in his first season has led the Suns to a 28-23 record and ninth place in the Western Conference standings – on Monday.
Because of financial concerns, the replacement probably would come from the staff. Lead assistant Alvin Gentry would be the likely successor, not General Manager Steve Kerr, as has been reported.
Will Phoenix wait and see if Alvin Gentry can turn things around before trading Amare? A new twist to a story that should have a conclusion next week.

SportsNite report from All-Star Weekend
They played a short clip with Amare Stoudemire, where he said: “I think something’s gonna happen…it sounds like something’s gonna happen. A lot of people are talking about Chicago, Cleveland, Miami. I just know wherever I go, I’m gonna bring a lot to the table…”
Nothing groundbreaking, but at least he’s still not saying that he expects to stay in Phoenix.
