Its games like these that make Paxon not pull the trigger. Lets say to get Amare, it is Tyrus, Noah, Gooden and a 1st round draft pick. This is probably what it will take because a lot of teams will throw the house for Amare. Tyrus could easily be a 20-10 guy with insane athleticism and maybe even an outside jay. Noah is already a great rebounder, and if he can put the time in the off-season to get an inside shot and stop huffing and puffing he could easily be a quality center in the eastern conference. Remember they are just 22 and 23 and are already playing better than decent especially recently. Throw in a draft pick that is probably in the 10-20 range and we are giving up a lot. A line-up of Gray-Amare-Deng-Gordon-Rose is better than what we have now but is clearly not better than the Celtics, Orlando, or Cleveland. Amare doesn't play defense and is clearly going to test the waters in 2010. Is Amare really the answer?
I obviously don't oppose to moving Kirk, Hughes, Gooden, and especially Noc.
