And even though the Clippers have specifically denied it to me, I keep hearing they're still determined to repatriate Chris Kaman, figuring they can go 10-40 just as well without him as with his remaining three years and $33.9 million.

Is he still on the Bulls radar?

There was quite a bit of speculation around here that landing Kaman would be good for the Bulls. Though I know Brad Miller was someone else’s favorite target.

one thing that could change if the Bulls get Amare

is that 2010 is shot, and taking on Kaman’s long-term deal isn’t that big of a, ahem, ‘deal’.

However say the Bulls used whatever assets left (Noah?) to get Kaman, then they’re locking themselves into Amare/Kaman, which is an awful defensive frontcourt. At least with just Amare there’s hope for improvement.

If Paxson searches his soul and decides that Tyrus Thomas isn’t worth giving up for Amare, then might as well get Kaman and throw your lot around him and Thomas.

I would much rather go with

TT and Kaman then Amare and Noah. TT and Kaman can both score and both play SOME defense. With Amare and Noah you get one player that plays offense and one that kinda plays defense and “hustles”. Plus we don’t give up as much especially draft picks which I really don’t want to give up even though this draft looks like it might suck.

Derrick Rose-2009 ROTY Tyrus Thomas-2009 MIP...hope I'm at least half right

id rather have

rose and amare than rose and kaman. for some reason that rose kaman 1,2 punch doesnt seem quite as formidable
