Play defense.

well, it remains to be seen if he "can"

but if defense is about athleticism, strength and desire, well, he’s obviously got the first two, and he seems to have the latter in overall desire to get better. We’ll see though, because I think defense is more than that.

Coaching

He probably didn’t get a lot of coaching on defense in high school or college, so I think it will improve, especially next year now that he has a feel for our offense.

I think a lot of it is, he just doesn't know the right angles to play on D

so much of D is about playing the right angles and knowing where your help is going to come from. The Bulls D fails as a team most of the time, and Rose doesn’t seem to know the proper way to position his body to best use his athletic gifts to stay in front of his man. That’s coaching. It might also help if he got in a defensive stance every once in a while.

Steve Nash can still dribble you know

Shot selection and passing lanes aren’t as available as they once were, but he’s still a top 5 dribbler.

12/31: Fire Vinny Del Negro.

I think he was explaining away Rose's abysmal D the other night, which is fair

Nash is great. That doesn’t explain Rose getting torched by the Luke Ridnours of the world though.

Yeah, I think I got that.

Which is my point about “eh?” As in, “NBAO, do you really think I only concern myself with one game in offering an opinion? Oh, right. You probably do.”

Haha I was gonna say play defense. Cause dude doesn’t even try. I don’t wanna hear the he’s a rookie excuse, cause Westbrook is going hard at people on D.

Derrick, you may wanna try to get in a defensive stance one of these games.

Pretty nice luxury to have this put back option

from your point guard.
