A Great trade for all (Bulls/Wolves/Rockets)

I have two trades the Bulls should make that will help with the future of the team

1. Bulls get Al Jefferson and Ryan Gomes and   Minnesota gets Luol Deng and Tyrus Thomas

This is a good trade for the Bulls because they get a young Power Foward that will solve their low post scoring problems they have had for years. This is a good trade for Minnesota because they get a young wing player in Deng that can score and defend. they already have Kevin Love as a PF and Jefferson and Love have not played good together.

2. Bulls get Tracy Mcgrady and Kyle Lowry and Houston gets Kirk Hinrich and Brad Miller.

This is a good trade for the Bulls because we are getting rid of Hinrich's contract for next year and gives us more oney to sign a free agent, Mcgrady is also in the last year of his contract. The Rockets would get rid of cgrady which they are trying to do and also get a center that can fill in untill Yao ing gets back. They also would get a good back up PG that can also play two guard next to the shorter Brooks.

The Bulls

Rose                Lowry/Hunter

Mcgrady          Pargo

Salmons       Gomes/Johnson

Jefferson       Gibson

Noah               Gray

Next Year Mcgrady would be off the books as well as Jerome James and we would be able to go after and probably get a Dwayne Wade or at least Joe Johnson and fill out the roster fro there. A starting lineup of Rose, Wade/Johnson, Salmons, Jefferson, Noah, with Gibson coing off the bench should make us the fourth best team in the East next year.

Why would

Minnesota give up one of the few back to the basket centers, one of the better centers in the league, that trade has no chance of happening, Al-Jeff is the center piece of that team.

You are 100% right. There is no way that first trade has any way of going through.

It has about a good a chance of the organization willing to spend money on players or coaches.

I had those same doubts but......

They just spent a high draft pick on Kevin Love who plays the same position as Jefferson and is averaging 16 and 9 off the bench since coing back from his injury, the Wolves have not won anything with Jefferson as the center piece on that team, He is a power foward and not a center, Jefferson is averaging 15 and 8 Luol is averaging 17 and 8 on a better team, Luol has been to the playoffs more than Jefferson in less years in the league, the Bulls could also add in a protected first round pick if Minnesota wouldnt want to do this trade straight up.

Remember Al-Jeff

is coming off a major injury, was playing at an all-star level last year, and was the big piece in the Garnett trade

I don't see how the trades are particularly enticing for either the Wolves or the Rockets.

Great trades for the Bulls though.

1. Cut a hole in a box
2. Put your Kirk in that box
3. Make some team open that box

How it helps the other teams

The Rockets are looking to trade Mcgrady and Miller gives them a better option at center than Chuck Hayes Hinrich is a good back up that can also play next to Brooks because of his defense. The Wolves currently have the second worse record in the NBA, Luol Deng has been a contributor to a number of playoff teams and is only 24, he also is returning to his old form since coming back from injury, also I think his game would fit in better in the Western Conference because he is more of a junpshooter/slasher and the East is more of a one on one create your own shot conference, he could average 22 and 8 for the Wolves with Johny Flyn and Sessions feeding him the ball, also Kevin Love is currently coming off the bench because Jefferson is the starting center and they dont play well together, Tyrus is a better defender than Jefferson and the West has a number of godd offensive PF’s, they can choose to sign him if he plays good this year

The biggest problem from the Rockets end in the trade is why would they take on

Hinrich’s salary when they have two productive PGs for way cheap (Brooks and Lowry)? Hinrich has been terrible this year and hasn’t been a consistent performer for a long time. Cutting into their 2010 cap space for someone like him makes little sense.

Chuck Hayes is good but...

He is too short to play center on a regular, He could be as good coing off the bench, and Hinrich is better than Lowry because he can play with Brooks who is a scorer and not give up any defense at the two guard position, I dont think they would get any better offers for T-Mac

I think if Minnesota trades Jefferson it will be for savings and a good young player.

I could see them trading him, he is really struggling right now and makes a ton of money. But I don’t see them doing a deal straight up for Deng because of Deng’s contract. Talent wise, I think its closer than people realize, and would be potentially good trade for the Wolves – except that I don’t see them wanting to commit that amount of money to Deng. Word is they are going to throw a bunch of money at Rudy Gay, which seems like a better idea for them, in my opinion.

Here is a trade that works with ESPN trade machine

The Bulls send Deng and Hinrich to Raptors for Bosh and DeRozan. Our line up would be:

Noah / Miller
Bosh / Gibson
Thomas / Johnson
DeRozan / Salmons / Pargo
Rose / Pargo / Hunter

This improves our rebounding, post game, fast break, slightly improves our defense and mid range shooting. Does not help our 3 point game. However we can sign Bosh and TT with Deng, Hinrich, Miller and all the other contracts off the books. We would have better core of young talented players that a big name coach would love to have. Comments?

Not a chance in hell of the Raptors making that trade,

unless they believe there is absolutely no chance of re-signing Bosh. If you have not noticed, Kurt is crap this season.

How about we set our sites a bit lower and offer Deng for Love instead of Jefferson

I think Love is a better fit for us if he stays in shape. He’s a bit more athletic, he’s a rebounding fool, and he’s got a shot that could allow a lethal pick and roll with Rose.
